Once I planted a near dead sprig of passion vine. It never came up…after some research I was glad it hadn’t. The variety I planted was more “invasive” than some others. Then we had a major snow storm here in Texas in 2021 and it came up vigorously. I don’t know if it was the extra water from the snow or if it was just the nature of the vine but I was blown away by its beauty. Now 6 years after I planted that vine it’s everywhere. I pull it up from places I don’t want it to be and allow it to grow in places I don’t mind it. I planted a vine…now it raises butterflies and I get to experience its beauty. Would I plant this variety again? I’m not sure, maybe.
