For all my GTNH viewers: I've been minorly sick the last few days (nothing concerning, just an extended head cold) and therefore I haven't been able to stream. Last time I streamed, we ended by talking about going to Mars. Well, since I don't think I'm going to be streaming until next week and I've been playing GTNH while I stay home from work getting better, I think I'm going to head to Mars off-stream for the first time, start setting up whatever I need to do up there, and make more progress. I'll definitely show off Mars and its moons the next time I stream, though!
I should be better in a couple days.

I started writing this post to be just about my GTNH streams but it kind of turned into a mini channel update so, read on to find out what's going on:

I think I need to make a change to my GTNH streams. I try not to read into analytics too much but last night's stream only saw single-digit views while live and since it posted. I'm also thinking that it might be getting pretty stale to some, since these streams have probably been replacing other possible things for me to stream. Additionally, I'm at a point in the game where progress is incremental. I wasn't even originally planning on streaming yesterday until I had the idea to go to the End and change up the scenery.

Because progress is slow right now, I feel like it might be better to pull back on weekly-ish streams and instead focus on just playing for myself and then streaming again when I have some decent progress to show. I've got a lot of infrastructure work to do right now and that's not particularly exciting to watch, I'm sure. I have fun doing the streams, but I'm constantly thinking about if what I'm doing is interesting at a given moment.

So let's take a short break from regular GTNH streams for a bit, and I'll come back with them once I've progressed a little further and can show off some substantial progress in this tier. It'll let me build and progress without worrying about "I should show off how I'm building this on stream". I'm thinking the next one will be in like 2-3 weeks?

It'll also give me a chance to do some other streaming too. This channel has been nothing but TTT and GTNH for a few months now and I want to vary up my uploads a little more. I'd like to do another Ocarina randomizer run, and I've been planning a variety stream idea for a few months now. I'd also like to do some more episodic content again, like my Zelda, Mario, or Metroid videos. I don't have anything selected yet, but I can think of a few projects I could tackle.

1500 subs is in the bag now, onwards to 2000? Might take a couple years at the rate I've been growing, but that's fine with me.

I've been hinting at some new streaming things coming in the pipeline, and while I haven't figured out when to start doing them, the general idea is to make regular Wednesday streams and do something different with them. You'll see soon, I hope! I'll share more details when I'm ready to start.

Thank you all so much for helping me hit 1500 subscribers! I know the number fluctuates up and down, and may very well dip back below 1500 again, but I've been on a steady upwards trend for a while now. I'm grateful to every last one of you that enjoys my videos. I have some new streaming ideas in the pipeline that I can hopefully introduce soon, so look forward to that!

So I've got nearly 16 hours of backlogged TTT recordings dating back to the end of April that I haven't processed into episodes. Here's the plan: I'm going to be uploading these sessions over the next 2-3 weeks as full-length 3+ hour-long videos with timestamps for all the map changes just so I can kick them out the door and finally get caught up once again. We just recorded way too much recently for me to work through in a timely manner. I'm also going to try turning on manually-placed midroll ads between maps. We'll see how this works out, as I haven't messed with manual midrolls before, but they feel appropriate on huge uploads like this.

If you enjoy watching these videos, let me know what you think about this format in the comments on each one. The goal is to get the backlog uploaded so that I can return to some manner of episodic uploads once again. However, if these long sessions go over well, I might just swap TTT/multiplayer nights to these long-form uploads. Your opinions matter! Thanks!
