I've been doing simple lighting setups lately. Things that I wish I'd known many years ago. Beginners often focus too much on camera and gear when in reality lighting is the thing that will improve your image the most.
What would you guys like to see more of on youtube?

New short video up on the channel. I call this the Netflix look. Just me practicing trying to get better with shaping light, color separation and depth.

My self and a friend wanted to shoot something so we got together and wrote out a quick skit. I convinced him and my son to play the parts. This is something we want to do more of, but its hard not having access to actors. So I say...just shot the darn thing anyway :)

Last night I felt like being creative and wanted to practice with light. My wife and daughter let me do my thing! But this time I wanted to add on the complexity of adding some dialogue. This isn't my lane or theirs so please dont judge them as actors lol.

I've been getting inspired by cinematic looks lately. While the low contrast look is popular on YouTube I tend to like the higher contrast films. I love the color contrast newer films so I wanted to mix with a moody look and I'm satisfied with the results. Video coming later today with a breakdown coming later this week. Shot on BMPCC 6k. Update: Tutorial on my channel.
