What I do for work:
Process Technician at Parker Aerospace
I develop safe and repeatable manufacturing processes around formed sheet metal parts for commercial and military aerospace. Working heavily with large Hydroform presses, Heat Treat Furnaces, 6 Axis CNC lasers, and additive MFG.

Happy new year everyone! Where have I been? December was a hard month to make videos. Our family got both the flu and COVID within a few weeks of each other... once we were healthy, we spent a week out of state with family for the holidays. With all that behind us I'll be making another video soon!
I've rebuilt my Mehr design on top of my parametric fretboard, and updated some of the transitions. So with the click of a few buttons, I can have a 6 string standard or an 8 string multiscale, with all surfaces (AND tuner holes) neatly updating.
Keep an eye out for that video, it should be out within the next week or two!

Hey everyone, it may be a week or two before my next video. Been having issues with my pc for the past couple years and it finally stopped working. Narrowed it down to PSU or motherboard.
Had to tear down and rebuild my rig to troubleshoot. Leak testing now, replacing PSU tomorrow. If that fails, time for a new pc :/

Hey everyone! The polls for the Mehr Buildoff will be taken down at midnight PST tonight so I can make the
video this weekend.
I got a lot of feedback for the system I used and let's just say there is a lot to be desired. The ability to vote for the same person multiple times (i.e. the same person on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd) created some bloat in the results, and the potential scenario where a person can almost win 1st, then jump straight to 4th and not qualify.
After talking with the contestants we have agreed to calculate the winner as follows.
1st place is just a straight up poll. Because this is the most accurate of the polls for that particular placement.
2nd will be the total combined votes for 1st and 2nd... provided the contestant didn't already win 1st.
3rd will be the total combined votes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd... provided the contestant didn't already win 1st or 2nd.
This should reflect the overall consensus of the voters the best... "these winners received the most votes for either this placement or higher"
I apologize again for such a crappy voting system. Next time I do something like this I will have something better put together that only allows single voting for each placement.

Hey everyone, quick update on the Mehr Buildoff Contest. Many people have reached out to me asking for an extension on the July 1st deadline as some are getting started a bit late.
This combined with the fact I'm a bit behind on finishing some of the scrapwood trophies and getting the voting system organized... I've decided to extend the deadline to August 1st. So those of you who are a bit behind, don't fret... or rather do fret 😁! There will be no more extensions, so make sure to submit your work before August 1st.

Project Mehr finale/playtest video coming out this weekend... featuring one of the viewers playing the guitar with me!
Where have I been?! Ever since I announced the Project Mehr buildoff contest in January I have been trying to secure sponsorship prizes for the winners. That turned out to be a very difficult task. But about a month ago I managed to finally break through and have been scrambling to make sure the prizes are finalized.
I gotta say, yall are in for a treat! There is a serious prize pool for the top 3 winners with over $2000 worth of hardware, tools, guitar accessories.

All wiring done, hardware installed, nut shaped and filed, and neck setup. Despite the warp, i was able to get as low as 1.25-1.5mm action height without fret buzz.
All thats left is a cavity cover, debating whether I should make it out of wood or 3d print one and sand it to a satin finish.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay with Project Mehr. I anticipated having more time in January and February to work on it. But the neck and body are finally glued together, and sanded to 220! New video will be coming out sometime this week showing that process, and the next video will be finish and assembly.
