It’s been a while since I pulled my catalog off Spotify, and honestly? My only regret is not doing it sooner.

I know some of you were annoyed at first—having to jump apps just to hear one song is a hassle, I get it. But seeing the "Death of Spotify" movement actually gain teeth in 2026 has been the most validating thing I’ve experienced as an artist.

While they’re busy raising your subscription to $12.99 this month and funneling tech investments into AI defense firms like Helsing, the actual humans making the music are still fighting for fractions of a penny. I realized last year that I’d rather have 50 people buy a record on Bandcamp than have 500,000 "passive listeners" who don't even know my name while a CEO uses my art to fund battlefield software.

Music isn't a "utility" like water or electricity. It’s a connection.

To the fans who followed me to Bandcamp, bought the vinyl, or even just sent a DM saying you’re still listening—thank you for keeping this project alive. You’re the reason I don't need a "green circle" app to be a musician.

The algorithm doesn't love you. I do.

They want you posting content, not songs.
Because content keeps people on the app…
Music doesn’t.
Soon they’ll offer “boosting,” where artists pay to push their own tracks into playlists. Oh wait lol
If you don’t pay… your music disappears. ONE DAY.

Hey, Everyone ✊️

As 2025 winds down, I’ve been sitting here reflecting on everything that’s happened, and I kept coming back to one thing: you guys.

I’ll be totally honest—being an independent artist can feel pretty heavy sometimes. I don’t have a giant corporate machine or a massive marketing team behind me. It’s just me, my instruments, and this small, incredible circle of people who actually give a damn about what I’m making.

There were definitely days this year when the creative well felt dry and I wondered if I was just shouting into the void. But every time I hit a wall, I’d see a message from one of you, or see you sharing a song with a friend, and it would spark something new. You aren't just listeners to me; you’ve become the actual muse behind the music. Knowing you’re on the other end of these songs is what gives me the push to keep being vulnerable and keep finding the magic in the noise.

Thank you for being the heartbeat of this project and for giving my work a home. You’ve turned what could have been a lonely journey into something that feels massive.

Happy New Year. I’m so ready to head into 2026 with you all.
