How Tense Changes in Active → Passive Voice?

The tense of the verb remains the same, but we add the correct form of “to be” + past participle (V3) of the main verb.

Examples by Tense:
• Present Simple:
Active: She writes a letter.
Passive: A letter is written by her.
• Past Simple:
Active: He cleaned the room.
Passive: The room was cleaned by him.
• Future Simple:
Active: They will deliver the parcel.
Passive: The parcel will be delivered by them.
• Present Continuous:
Active: She is reading a book.
Passive: A book is being read by her.
• Past Continuous:
Active: He was repairing the car.
Passive: The car was being repaired by him.
• Present Perfect:
Active: They have completed the project.
Passive: The project has been completed by them.
• Past Perfect:
Active: She had cooked dinner.
Passive: Dinner had been cooked by her.
• Future Perfect:
Active: He will have finished the work.
Passive: The work will have been finished by him

Important Tips:
• Tense stays the same; only structure changes.
• Use the correct “to be” form for the tense.
• Always use the past participle (V3) of the verb in passive.

🔷Montessori Sensorial Materials: A Complete Guide to Sensory ...
In Montessori education, the Visual Sensorial Sense focuses on refining a child's visual perception of size, shape, color, and dimension through specially designed materials that encourage visual discrimination, comparison, and classification. Key materials include the Pink Tower for size differentiation, Color Tablets for matching colors, and Cylinder Blocks for exploring variations in size and proportion. These activities strengthen cognitive skills, preparing children for academic subjects like reading, writing, and math by enhancing their ability to observe and organize their environment.
🔷Purpose of Visual Sensorial Activities
👉Develop visual discrimination:
Children learn to identify and distinguish differences in objects, such as variations in size, shape, and color.
👉Foster observation skills:
The materials are designed to draw a child's attention to details and encourage careful observation of the environment.
👉Promote classification and ordering:
Activities involve sorting and arranging objects, which helps children organize their thoughts and learn to classify experiences.
👉Prepare for higher learning:
Strong visual perception skills are foundational for complex subjects like reading, writing, and mathematics.
👉Examples of Visual Sensorial Materials
👉Pink Tower:
Ten pink wooden cubes that increase in size, used to develop visual discrimination of dimension.
👉Red Rods:
A set of ten red wooden rods that vary in length, helping children understand and order dimensions and length.
👉Cylinder Blocks:
Sets of cylinders that vary in size and dimension, teaching children to identify and match based on visual differences.
👉Color Tablets:
A set of tablets in different colors that children match and grade, improving their chromatic sense.
👉Geometric Cabinet:
Various wooden frames and insets of different geometric shapes (like circles, squares, and triangles) to help children recognize and classify shapes.
👉How the Activities Work
👉Isolation of Quality:
Each material focuses on isolating one quality, like size or color, to avoid overwhelming the child.
👉Hands-on Exploration:
Children engage in purposeful, hands-on activities to interact with the materials.
👉Gradual Progression:
Materials are presented with increasing complexity, allowing the child to master a skill before moving to the next challenge.
