Ten years ago today, we lost David Bowie - an artist of incalculable influence, boundless imagination, and unflinching creative courage. All those traits shine through Trent Reznor's revealing and touching essay about Bowie's profound impact on him both personally and creatively, and I heartily recommend it on this day on which we both mourn and celebrate a life of immense impact. Lana Del Rey may delay the release and change the title of her next album, a record billed as a country album and originally titled "Lasso" but more recently called "The Right Person Will Stay" with a May 21 release date. I dunno, kids. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em, I guess. 🤷‍♂️🫤 Here's more from Rolling Stone... www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/lana-del-rey…

The world has heard almost nothing from Tracy Chapman for years. Until now. She broke her prolonged (and, for this longtime fan, frustrating) silence for this fresh interview with the New York Times that functions as promotion for a new vinyl release of her eponymous debut with its classics "Fast Car" and "Talkin' 'Bout a Revolution," but this beautiful conversation turns out to encompass so much more. Chapman spans eveprything from why she shuns streaming music to the ramifications of growing up a working-class black girl in Cleveland, why she wishes some of her long-ago political songs were not still relevant today, her interest in the music of newer artiats like Charlie XCX and Chappell Roan, and so much more. Chapman's voice feels like a particularly needed one at this moment. If we are not going to get it in the form of a tour or a new album, this beautiful conversation definitely suffices.
