Just because you’re a small YouTuber, does not mean that you can’t find success on the platform.
As someone who is a completely self-taught filmmaker/YouTuber and has consistently built on YouTube over the last few years, I can confidently say that you can find that success at much earlier stages in your YouTube journey.
What’s difficult about YouTube, is not so much becoming a good “YouTuber”, but knowing which skills you need to dial in, and then, how to improve upon them effectively with each video. Videos, that at the same time, bring you thousands of views and quality subscribers. Subscribers that invest in you as a creator.
That’s why I created my 6 weeks Coaching program, where I’ll work with you personally to develop you as a high level video creator and supercharge your YouTube growth. There are a limited number of spots, so if you’re interested, apply through the link below!

Though, if you don’t feel ready to commit to my coaching program, I’ve created an E-book: “The Beginner’s Guide To Creating High Level YouTube Videos”. If I had this when I started out on YouTube, I could’ve been a high level creator that gets results so much sooner. If you’re an aspiring creator, or are simply interested in potentially becoming a YouTuber, I highly recommend you invest in this one. More information in the link below!

Appreciate all of you for supporting me, and now it’s my turn to give back that support to those of you that are aspiring creators as well. Let’s go 💯✔️🔥

Youtube sent us a cool breakdown of this year! So much growth has happened this year, growth that can’t be shown simply through just these numbers.
And I have you to thank for it. I deeply appreciate all of you that have subscribed over the last year. We’re only getting started.
This post is not only to celebrate what we’ve accomplished up until now, but also to hold
me accountable for the growth in the next year. Can’t wait to see what these numbers will look like for us then!
2023 will be this channel’s skyrocket. Let’s go.

We hit 1000 subscribers on Youtube 💯✔️🔥🔥🔥
After a little over a year and half, our community on YouTube has finally hit quadruple digits. Thank you to everyone that’s supported the channel, truly. Without you, everything that’s been done on the channel wouldn’t exist. There’s been so many adventures, so much inspiration, and even much more growth/learning.
Next to that, there’s also been an innumerable amount of failures and weeks just filled with deep frustration. But there has never been a moment where I felt that I should “give up”. We only fail forward. Difficulty is simply a sign signaling that you are close to a level up. And because of you, the enthusiasm and support you’ve shown me every time I upload, I’ve only found that to be truer than ever before.
This is very much only the beginning. The skyrocket is coming. Now we hunt for that 10k. Let’s go.

How did you start making videos?
Back before I picked up filmmaking, my life was completely committed to dancing (hip hop choreography, popping/isolations, Bboying). During college, I was on multiple dance teams developing my craft in dance freestyle/choreography and building my creative mindset. One aspect of dance at the time was potentially creating your own dance videos. You would normally do this by finding someone who knew how to use a camera and edit. Then you would get a group of your friends that would learn your choreography for the video.
So that was cool and all, but I always had a problem with the video side of things. When I would see videographers shoot these dance videos, and even my own that were filmed by someone else, I found myself extremely unsatisfied because they never really did meet what I had envisioned in my head. Either that or I thought that there was so much wasted potential on the visual delivery of these dance videos.
And so, guess what I did next?….Yep. I thought I would just do all of the video work by myself too. At the time, I didn’t have enough knowledge or money to operate/buy a full blown camera, so I used my phone (the Galaxy Note 9). I found myself choreographing and then filming the choreography as well. I was both in front of and behind the camera at the same time HAHA. That led to me filming dance videos for people in my community as well, all on my phone and edited in the free software provided by Davinci Resolve. This is how I would test video transitions and concepts in filming/editing until I bought the Sony A7III. By the time I got the Sony A7III, I had already learned so much through my phone that using my first mirrorless camera was a breeze. The rest is history as you have seen on this channel! 💯✔️🔥

Do you think gear matters when it comes to doing Youtube? Why or why not?
I believe that gear does matter for high level production and technicality when it comes to digital creation. But on the other hand, I also believe it doesn't matter when it comes to raw creativity in any situation.

What’s the best part about being able to use a camera? Whether it’s a DSLR, your phone, a drone, or whatever else…
For me, it’s being able to record your journey over long periods of time! Not in the sense of “creating memories” where you feel the joyful nostalgia of doing something or being with someone, but rather more in the sense of “looking back after how far you’ve come” towards a specific long term goal. Being able to look back at the work you’ve created and craftsmanship you’ve developed to realize that you “did that”. Where I can look at the accomplishments I made with each recorded piece and truly feel proud of what I’ve done along with where I’m headed. And then being able to tell the stories through spoken word of what was happening behind the scenes; the good, the bad, all of the greatness, and the ugliness. I find that, to me, to truly be the most precious part of operating a camera 💯✔️🔥

What camera do you use (Sony, Canon, GoPro, your phone, etc…) and why?
I use Sony! When I was first introduced to the world of filmmaking, I quickly learned that people usually choose Sony for lowlight shooting or Canon for the colors that come straight out of camera. With me being someone who enjoys night-scapes and other lowlight situations, Sony definitely became the one for me no questions asked. And so I bought my first camera in November 2019; the Sony A7III! It helped that my inspirations for filmmaking (@Peter Lindgren & @JR Alli ) were also Sony users. Also, Sony cameras just look much more aesthetically pleasing to me than other camera brands (except Fujifilm X-series cameras, those cameras look incredibly cool).
I’ve also created some sort of personal connection to the Sony cameras. When I first picked up the Sony A7III, I was in my last year of college. I absolutely HATED college. Not the experiences around it, and the people I built relationships with, but rather the part where you actually go to school thinking it will dictate or greatly contribute to the rest of your life. To me, it all felt extremely useless and as if my life was being burned away slowly. And all of that, just to maybe get a job so that I could pay off large amounts of school debt. I decided to only do the bare minimum to get by until graduation and never had a plan for what’s after that. Just internalized frustration and resentment that I would do my best to lock away from those around me.
Now once again, in 2019, I delved into the world of filmmaking. I worked and got myself the Sony A7III. I pushed myself to learn new skills within the niches of photo and video, and at the same time, found a passion that made life much more thrilling. I ended up landing freelance work while networking with amazing creators, which led to paying off my student debt completely within a year of being out of college. I started a YouTube channel, even though my closest friends told me that it was probably really a bad idea. However, its become one of the best decisions I’ve ever made throughout the course of my life. Currently, I have over 750 awesome people who are a part of my community. And I continue to build that momentum to this day! All because I picked up the Sony A7III. It turned out, choosing which camera I should get, happened to be aligned with choosing which path in life I should be taking. And let me tell you, I chose one of coming greatness. 💯✔️🔥

The growth is crazy over this last year and a half on YouTube. It’s wild how much everything has evolved! This set up is just one aspect of many! Here’s the breakdown:
Late 2020: Started filming YouTube videos while I lived with my grandparents. I would use the extra room in their apartment as my space to film every couple of nights. It wasn’t the most flattering of set ups, but I was more than willing to make something happen.
Throughout 2021: I got my own room for the first time ever at the age of 24. This was the first time I actually ever got to choose how I built out my room! In general, there was a lot of “first times” during 2021. I learned that designing my own space was also something that I really enjoyed doing, and on top of that, enhanced my creativity in a lot of ways because I built a space where I was always able to get in the zone quickly.
Now In 2022: We’re just getting better and better. I have more clear direction. I bought my time back. Focus and discipline is getting sharper. Changing every aspect of my life. It’s time to skyrocket.
Thank you to each and every one of you that continue to join on this adventure! I hope that my story can help inspire you to write yours 💯✔️🔥

FINALLY, I can communicate better with all of you! First of all, thank you for 500 because we are building an insanely awesome community and I appreciate every single one of you that has joined me on this wild journey! Secondly, as you may know from the last video, I’ve moved and am building out a new YouTube Studio Setup in the new location (why I also haven’t posted any YouTube videos as of late). I’m hoping to finish the YT buildout this coming week and get back on the YouTube grind so stay looking out! Lastly, as I know it’s much harder to let you know things on YouTube, come check me out on Instagram so that we can stay up to date with whatever is going on! You’ll also get to see what’s happening behind the scenes, and be a part of adventures that haven’t appeared on YouTube! It’s the dawn of a New erA. It’s time to skyrocket. 💯✔️🔥
