I've been a diehard MMA fan since I was 11, I'm 31 now. I used to sit in the back of class downloading past UFC events off PirateBay and combing through every fighters record on Wikipedia, but I smoked way too much weed since then so I don't have the encyclopaedic knowledgebase of MMA GURU.
BigDumbHarry was my nickname at university, because there was a small kid named Harry that was top of his year in engineering, so he was Small Smart Harry, and I'm BigDumbHarry - But my name's not Harry, it's Royce :)
Anyway, this channel is where I make MMA reaction content and MMA comedy jokes based on Norm MacDonald's Weekend Update segment. I also do MMA Picks, Predictions & Betting Tips for all of the UFC cards and recap videos after the events.
Don't expect me to have the right picks, I often pick based on who I want to win not who I think will win (Dan Hooker vs Arman Tsarukyan for example). This channel is meant to be fun, sarcastic, dumb and lighthearted for the MMA community. SUBSCRIBE

Everyone's picking Charles because of his grappling but I don't see him just taking Max down and submitting him, but I do see Max walking him into a bunch of shots on the feet and finishing Oliveira late.
I think people are doubting RDR because of that terrible performance against Brendan Allen, but I think he's gonna dominate Borralho in the first two rounds with his grappling and maybe get a submission - Borralho doesn't have enough power to finish it in the third.

Not the craziest card but definitely one of the easiest to pick and a couple of sneaky bangers...
Poor Bobby Green is going to get KOed again, poor guy is just getting the worst matchups at the end of his career.
I think Chito can keep gatekeeping the division and give Martinez a loss to learn from.
And in the main event, I could see Kavanagh getting it done, but Moreno is an elite fighter and it's never a good idea to bet against an elite fighter.

There are some sneaky fun fights on this card. That Verretenikov KO of Niko Price was insane, and I don't understand how Morono stayed in the fight with Donchenko
Kyoji Horiguchi vs Amir Albazi is like a flyweight Max Holloway vs Arman Tsarukyan, Kyoji should take a decision in a 3 rounder.
Mario Bautista has fans after beating Patchy Mix, I wonder if Guru is going to have to pay out his $10k bonus to Vinicius - I don't see it, Bautista by boring decision.
Rizvan Kuniev is gonna stuff the takedowns of Jailton and knock him out. R1

Pretty awesome fight night to end the year, but I have one question...
Why do the little guys suddenly seem to have all the power and the big guys can barely finish a fight?
Over the last 3 months, other than the Pereira Ank rematch, it seems like all the big fights go to a pretty boring decision, but the flyweights-featherweights are bangers and mostly ending in finishes...
Anyway, this was a fun fight night, I went 6-5-1 on picks, which isn't too bad - And I picked the main and co-main spot on so I feel good about that.
What did you think of the fights tonight? Do you feel like the Paramount era will start with more bangers?

Yan's a beast, he really did his homework to shut Merab down and I believe him when he says his arm was busted last time. Poor Merab, I think he should take some time to rest, he was super active and it seemed like he wasn't 100% this time round either.
I bet Dana is wetting himself with how things turned out in the flyweight division. New Asian champion, with a Japanese #1 contender. He said in the post fight press conference that he's looking for arenas in Japan, not Singapore - Even though they have more recent history with Singapore and there's more Myanmar people like Van in Singapore.
I was going to make a recap video on the main card but I'm going to make a video around this whole UFC/Asia thing instead. I feel like my recap videos aren't that interesting and I don't wanna just put slop out to you guys, truly.
Did okay with picks, I think I gotta start picking the whole card including the prelims again.

I'm changing my picks last minute!
I have a weird feeling Joshua Van is going to come out and get it done - I think he catches Pantoja early and gets a 1st round TKO.
Moreno's too good for Taira - I was worried about his age and how many wars he's been in but the smaller guys have way more longevity and Taira doesn't have the power to hurt Moreno, so with good BJJ defense he's going to put Taira away himself in R3 TKO.
Other than that, everything is as usual - Yan does better but Merab can't be stopped, Henry Cejudo is throwing this fight to Payton Talbott and Legendary Polish Power will prove indefensible.

JDM's gonna smash Makhachev, R2 or 4 TKO - I'm so excited for this fight!
In The Battle Of The Commie Queens, Weili Zhang is gonna get it done, more heart at this stage in her career. Valentina was a terrifying champion during her first reign but she's lost the winning instinct to beat a juggernaut like Zhang. DEC or R4/5 RNC for Zhang.
Prates really is The Nightmare, but Edwards has too many ways to win a 3 round fight, he could even outstrike Prates, he's not out of his physical prime yet and he does not want to take the Tony Ferguson career trajectory, DEC for Edwards
Brady's gonna break Morales. If Magny was able to outwrestle you at moments, Sean Brady is your worst nightmare. Maybe Morales can land something, but this should be an easy DEC or R3 SUB for Brady.
In the opener, the wrestling is going to nullify and as BSD comes crashing in he's going to put Beneil Dariush out cold, R1 KO.
I recorded a picks video for the main card but wasn't recording the audio and was too annoyed to remake one, but this is how I see it going down.
