Looks like Ghost (the can-man catcher) liked his toys and treats…from an anonymous citizen so much they posted it on the community board in town. Wonder who gave him those?

Restaurants aren’t the only place to eat-out. I May not be a senior (yet, but praying I live long enough) but I have been known to stop by the senior citizens center a time or two on their Ice Cream Sundae days for $3 or on Tamale and Enchilada night for $8. No tipping necessary, it’s super low cost and the money goes to keeping the place running for free socialization And crafts for our senior citizens. And just so you know, they LOVE IT when little kids and families show up and romp all over the place. Just something frugal to think about…

For those of you that are trying to reach me on Facebook (I have gotten a couple emails). Please note that my facebook account is set to personal and can not be viewed by the public. There is one out there that is using my image/photo but that is a fake account. It's not me. I have reported it to facebook and they won't remove it. So if you think you are reaching out to me on facebook and they try asking you for something weird like money or ugly feet pictures or something, that is not me.

This is how much of a geek I am…
Get a text from my neighbor this morning that says:
“Do you like cheese?”
So of course I tell her I will be right over.
She is definitely my kind of people.

For those that keep asking about the update on the rental property.
1.) Yes, it was fully insured but ARSON is not covered under any policy by any insurance company. So I have to foot the bill. The tenant was also required to have insurance which was also denied because of the arson.
2.) Yes, a thorough background check was conducted on the tenant. What did NOT show up on the tenant's history is that he burned down his last house to the ground completely. Since it had only happened 1 week before he rented my property, it was not shown in his history. He also had a criminal background in the state of CA, which did not show up in the AZ background check. He paid the 6 month lease up front in cash. I didn't refund his deposit.
3.) Yes, I have hired a lawyer and am suing the co-signer of the lease (the tenant's father). It could take years to get my money back. The tenant has no money.
4.) The tenant was arrested 2 days after the fire for drug possession.
5.) Items found in the house included meth, several crack pipes, narcan, needles and unknown pills.
6.) While it has been dubbed arson, it is highly unlikely that the tenant will serve any time. The BHC Police Dept. is honestly, not very good and doesn't seem to care.
7.) I received several complaints from neighbors about drug dealing coming out of the house. The police were called several times by me for several months and nothing was done.
8.) The fire occurred 2 days after the tenant was told his lease would not be renewed.
9.) The tenant is currently homeless.
10.) I have been told by neighbors that at least 6 people were living in the house. While cleaning up, children's clothing and shoes were found along with small children's furniture and decorations. Mail has been found for at least 4 different people while cleaning up.
11.) All repairs are complete and permits were approved by the city. I just got back on Thursday with a Uhaul and all of my remaining furniture that survived the fire that holds sentimental or monetary value.
12.) The house is for sale. I do not wish to go through the stress of being a landlord anymore with the laws being in complete favor of the tenant, all the lies that are told and the destruction I have to clean up after. My finances will be much better served in the stock market.
13.) I have taken several before and after pictures along with video and am working on completing it. I will have the update video posted in a couple weeks (likely the first week of December).
14.) While I was completely justifiably stressed at the time, I am home now and it is all over. I am okay now, and relaxing in my house in CA...which is no longer minimalistic because of all the furniture ha ha.
15.) I hope to never go back to Arizona. The "energy" there has completely changed and I get the same feeling there as when I visit places like San Francisco or Los Angeles. There is something heavy in the air. I will not be keeping the house as a vacation property or anything else unless it does not sell.
16.) The tenant showed up while we were cleaning up the property trying to get in. Thank God Joe and my neighbor Craig were with me at the time. The tenant was NOT granted entry and I think we all know why he wanted to get in....it wasn't to take pictures.
17.) There were 3 points of where the fires were started. One was in the large guest room closet where an accelerant was used on clothing and lit on fire. The second was the fireplace where it was stuffed with clothing and lit on fire. The third was in the kitchen using a pot full of something flammable. Fortunately the living room and kitchen survived but the guest room and connected hallway had to be rebuilt. We were lucky none of the wood underneath was touched. The fire department is only a block from the house…they acted fast.
18.) During the initial cleanup drug addicts and homeless people would enter my house without knocking and just walk in while we were working. This happened 4 times.
19.) Inspections were done once a month…which by law require 48 hrs notice. The tenant would be alone every time and the house was clean upon every inspection. Your guess is probably the same as mine…since he has 48 hours notice he would have everyone in the house leave while the inspection was done, then they would all go back.
20.) Yes, I had a property
Manager and no, they can not be sued for negligence. They are protected by the law.

Trump wins…by a lot. Many people say California is lost, just one big blue state. Let me tell you, most of CA is red. SF, LA and San Diego are blue…and they get the majority to turn electoral votes blue. An example: Here is the county I live in….68.7% TRUMP! This is the real California outside of those crime ridden blue cities.
