Some recent vintage fragrance finds. All found for very good prices second hand. Spot any favourites? I’ll be on YouTube later tonight doing a live sniff along so if you have any of these do bring them along and we can compare notes. The Allures are both edt one is a splash. Coco is also a splash. Panache really has my heart right now and is my #sotd. The Avon is called Occur! from their California Perfume line and is not wearable in my humble opinion, extremely pungent very old fashioned smell. The No 19 juice is cloudy but the scent surprised me with a huge rich iris as well as the expected greenery. No 5 is another surprise, I really enjoy it, the drydown has a delectable spices and resin feel. Le Dix is a powdery violet bomb. Lou Lou is just Lou Lou, she’s no wall flower!! Paris and Stella are direct links to my past.

Moschino Toy 2 Pearl. Only tried on card thank goodness! Starts off fresh citrus but very bitter, bracing. Reminds me of the opening of Valaya by PDM quite a natural start. But the drydown on my card is an aroma chemical mess in my most humble opinion 😇 it’s like the very worst of those aquatic fragrances that smell jarring, a mixture of scratchy woods (I can feel splinters in my skin just smelling it) and “sea breeze”. To be fair this is not my genre and I probably wouldn’t enjoy this type of perfume even if it was crafted by the gods with better ingredients. The packaging is kind of cute, rainbows always get my attention but the fragrance does not match. If anything this is masculine and belongs in a generic blue bottle. Reminds me of Bleu De Chanel and Savauge but even less refined.
Just checked Fragrantica for notes, it’s unisex marketed, here’s their note listing copy and pasted: Toy 2 Pearl by Moschino is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Toy 2 Pearl was launched in 2023. Toy 2 Pearl was created by Domitille Michalon Bertier and IFF. Top notes are Lemon, Sorbet and Oregano; middle notes are Sand, Freesia and Jasmine; base notes are Musk, Cypress and Vetiver.
Meh? Nah it’s worse than that. Have you tried it? Let me know your thoughts, if you liked it do let me know, always good to get different opinions and perspectives.

I’m over the moon and so deeply grateful that Francesca sent me this precious elixir. I have found it quite inspiring - here’s a little olfactory fiction, a full review will follow on my YouTube channel shortly.
Love For Sale is a woman with 2 sides. Her tough leather biker jacket shields her softer more feminine side. She sits in contemplation at her dressing table and applies her tangy aldehydic perfume, it’s a classic of course and maybe not so approachable at first. She takes a sip from her crystal flute of Champagne, inside floats a raspberry and a strawberry because whilst she’s tough she’s not averse to some decadence here and there. From her buttery soft grey suede handbag, she removes her lipstick and powder, reapplies and smiles at herself knowingly in the mirror. She is both darkness and light, for now, briefly she must channel her darkness as she has a mission, one man must die, another will be enchanted.
Mission completed, her perfume has softened on her skin, no longer sharp and tangy, the leather jacket has been discarded but her soft suede bag remains. Her darkness has almost been covered by light, she is gentle, calm, approachable, sweet as candy. She walks as if on a cloud, you might even believe she’s pure and innocent but if you’re in tune with your instinct then you’ll know the truth.
