Just wanted to make this post to let you all know that not only is a new video gonna go live tomorrow, but also I wanted to offer my thoughts on the whole "low views" fiasco that many YouTubers are freaking out about.
In short, no, I don't think YouTube is broken right now. I think it this is just simply a case of everyone going back to school/college and not being online as much. Something like this has happened every year.
That being said though, I've only just now found out how absolutely dogwater YouTube's "Restricted Mode" is. I'm not kidding when I say EVERY video on this channel is affected by this feature. I dunno if this feature is enabled by default. I'm inclined to believe it's not, but just in-case, if it IS enabled, then be sure to disable it. Trust me, this will make the YouTube experience a lot less of a headache.
Anyways, new video tomorrow afternoon. I'll see you all then.
I'm gonna be doing a video covering lost media in regards to everything Source Engine related. That includes Valve's games (HL2, CS:GO, TF2, ect) and mods (GMod, Insurgency, Black Mesa, ect).

Noticing that some people are saying that I use AI for my voice overs, or that I intentionally slow down my recordings to drag out the runtime for my videos.
Simply put, neither of these are true. I'm still learning on how to properly narrate my videos, and sometimes me trying to learn results in me over-correcting, i.e. me talking a bit too slowly in my recent video.
I am definitely taking notes on how I can improve for my next video, as I strive to create content that everyone can enjoy.

Good news. After making me wait two months, YouTube finally decided to let me have access to Advanced Settings. It would've been sooner, but YouTube was being annoying, blah blah, nothing new.
With Advanced Settings finally enabled external links work finally, video chapters now function (don't know why this is locked behind Advanced Settings but whatever), and most importantly, ads should now be showing up in my vids once again.
I know I won't be seeing the same revenue like I did with my old channel, at least for a little while, but I'm glad this headache is done and over with.
Anyways, I'm currently writing the script for my next video. It's probably gonna be one of the more shorter videos, but I still think you all might enjoy it.

And that's much every video reuploaded. Again, I didn't have my older content saved, and there's a high likelihood that most of them are gone for good, but they don't really reflect my modern content, so while it does suck, you're not really missing out. If anyone else wants to reupload them though, go right ahead. I don't mind.
For any newcomers that subbed to my channel expecting daily uploads, I'm sorry, but I prefer to take my time creating content for this platform, especially if it's a long-form, deep dive video.
That being said, progress for my next video has already begun. I am still annoyed over what YouTube did, but whether this out of spite or something else entirely, I am now more motivated than ever to be creating content for this platform.
I've noticed that there's been an uptick of instances where creators have suddenly gotten their YouTube accounts terminated, and when said creators reach out to YouTube for help, they are met with the same bot reply. Zero help from actual humans.
The people over at YouTube need to reevaluate their decision on using AI for this platform. Whatever algorithm they're using to judge account terminations is clearly not working, even more so when it comes to handling support. If they don't, then sooner or later, it's gonna bite them back hard.
YouTube, stop overrelying on AI and actually help out your creators, and while you're at it, reinstate my channel. K, thanks.
For everyone who is trying to help rebuild, I recommend giving the reuploads some engagement.
Liking, commenting, or even just viewing them should help push them out into the algorithm more, and hopefully get the attention of more people who aren't aware of what happened to my last channel.
