A newspaper from 1968. And a reminder of how brutally money loses purchasing power over time.

Look at the headline: Gold prices crash.

The image lists 24-carat gold at just ₹57.50 per 10 grams. Today, 24K gold is around ₹1.6 lakh per 10 grams in India.
Imagine telling someone in 1968:
“₹57 ka gold ek din ₹1,50,000+ ka ho jayega.” They probably wouldn’t believe you.

But there’s a much bigger lesson here. Every generation feels that an asset has become “too expensive.”
₹100 looked expensive once.
₹1,000 looked expensive later.
₹10,000 looked expensive after that.
Then ₹50,000.
Then ₹1 lakh.
The number keeps changing because the value of money itself keeps changing. That’s why simply keeping money idle for decades can be one of the biggest invisible risks to wealth. You don’t necessarily become poorer because your bank balance falls. Sometimes you become poorer because everything your money can buy becomes more expensive.

Long-term wealth creation is less about predicting tomorrow’s price and more about protecting purchasing power over decades.

CA is not important..? I have cleared CA, CFA, CFP and LLB. Is it? (Here is my CA final mark sheet)

And many of you ask, “Why so many degrees? Is it really needed?”

I get it.
It looks like a long list from the outside.

But for me, it was never about the degrees themselves. It was about building a strong base first.

For me, that was CA.

CA taught me discipline, consistency and how to keep moving forward no matter what.

It gave me the mindset to take on CFA, CFP and LLB later.

When your foundation is strong, everything you build on it stands taller.

It might look like I have many degrees, but I have also faced the same fears and failures every student goes through.

I missed SRCC by a few marks. If I had gone there, maybe CA would not have happened. And without CA, CFA or LLB would have stayed a distant dream.

Life will test you and it will test you when you least expect it.

But if you stand firm in those tough moments, life rewards you in ways you could not imagine.

What matters is not how many degrees you have.

What matters is the person you become while earning them.

Keep showing up, even on days when you feel like quitting.
