Spring is in the air! It feels like the first truly warm day so far this year. The usual suspects were out and about this morning. However, the good weather doesn't seem to have spread the good cheer among our garden friends as they bickered over food.

Hi there, I'm curious to know your tolerance to the man-made noise in my videos. Like most people, the area where I live is dominated by the noises of human activity. And while I endeavour to remove as much of this from my videos as possible, either through the timing of recording or post production, there is a limit to what I can achieve.

Below I will define several tolerances. The lower the tolerance to these kind of noises the less videos I can produce as it restricts the times I am able to film and increases the length of time it takes to produce a video.

Here are my arbitrary tolerance levels:

- High tolerance: Can contain overhead aircraft, nearby construction and garden machinery.
- Medium tolerance: Can contain distant aircraft, distant construction & distant garden machinery.
- Low tolerance: Only mild traffic, and nearby school children.
- Zero tolerance: Only the sounds of nature.

What is your tolerance level?

There were plenty of posers vying for a coveted thumbnail spot in my latest video shoot. Who do you think should get it and why?

"What lens do you use to shoot these videos?"

Hello there, my fellow Gardeners. The squirrels in my garden are such critics. They are never happy with the camera settings I have chosen or the composition I am trying to shoot. They are constantly trying to reposition my camera and even change the focus. This one appears to be trying to see what lens I am using. It's probably planning to shoot its own videos.

It's so lovely to see the changing seasons in the garden. This is image is from an upcoming autumn themed video I am currently editing. It should be ready in a day or so. I'll stream it as a livestream once it's finished. So keep an eye out for that.

Warmly,

Hello, my lovely Gardeners! 🐿️🍃

Oh, what a busy morning in the garden today! After filling up the bird feeders, a playful bunch of starlings swooped in, scattering seeds everywhere, much to the delight of some little furry friends below. These squirrels wasted no time taking advantage of the feast!

- Our first squirrel looks so alert, doesn’t it? Standing tall with its fluffy tail proudly curled over its back, ready for the next tasty morsel.
- And here’s a charming pigeon, likely joining in on the fun. With its glossy feathers and bright eyes, it’s strutting around like it owns the place.
- Look at these two squirrels! One is focused on its meal while the other is sneaking up behind. I think they’re planning a little food-sharing strategy!
- This cutie is standing upright, with its tiny paws held together as if it’s asking for seconds. Who could say no to that face?
- Lastly, we’ve got another happy squirrel, mid-bite, munching away contentedly while enjoying the fallen treats.

Take care, my fellow Gardeners! 🦋

Hello, my fellow Gardeners! 🌿

It looks like I had some unexpected guests pop by for afternoon tea in the garden! I set out a lovely spread on my two-tiered feeder, and in no time at all, my little visitors arrived for a nibble. From a dashing robin to a pair of playful squirrels, it was quite the tea party! Here’s a peek at our garden gathering:

- A charming robin was the first to arrive, settling on the top tier like an honoured guest, enjoying his dainty selection of nuts and seeds.
- One squirrel decided to make a grand entrance, popping right up to the camera, perhaps asking where his cup of tea was!
- Another cheeky one peered over the edge of the table, politely checking if there were any more tea cakes to be had—such proper manners!
- Two guests arrived together, one squirrel inspecting the table while the other eagerly tucked into the treats, as if debating which dish to sample first.
- And the grand finale—two squirrels sharing the spread, one sitting daintily on the top tier while the other kept an eye on the proceedings from below. It was a garden tea party for the ages!

Hope you enjoy this whimsical moment, my Gardeners! Until next time, let’s keep the garden lively and full of surprises! 🌿🫖

Hello my lovely Gardeners! 🌻

I've had such fun filming this week's garden visitors, and I just had to share these delightful moments with you all. Take a look at who popped in for a snack at my little wildlife buffet! 🥜🌰

- Our little squirrel friend couldn’t believe his luck with all those nuts to choose from. Look at his cute little face!
- Here's the perfect duo: squirrel and pigeon, side by side, each enjoying their meal. Nature’s harmony at its finest.
- A bright robin came by too, pecking at the seeds and mealworms. He looks so elegant standing on the stone.
- This plump pigeon looks very pleased with the spread, doesn’t he? Those peanuts must be a real treat!
- And finally, our cheeky squirrel again, sitting happily with a hazelnut. Just adorable!

Hello, my fellow Gardeners! 🌱🐦

I had quite the lively day at the bird feeders and couldn't wait to share these delightful moments with you all. Each bird brought its own special charm to the garden, and their colorful feathers and busy energy really made my heart sing. Here's a little peek at what I captured:

1. Our striking woodpecker, with its bright red plumage, taking a moment to enjoy the suet.
2. A bustling crowd of starlings, jostling for a spot at the feeder – what a flurry of wings and chirps!
3. A plump wood pigeon carefully balancing on the feeder, eyeing those seeds with pure determination. It’s always a joy to see these gentle giants up close.
4. A shy little robin hopping onto the feeder, its orange breast glowing brightly in the greenery.
5. A starling and its young friend sharing a feeder, showing off their beautiful iridescent feathers.

I hope these little snapshots bring a bit of joy to your day! If you want to see these feathery friends in action, you can watch the full video here: https://youtu.be/3LrFUvFFR2g

Hello, my lovely friends! 🐦🌿 Today, I had a little gathering of the garden's most adorable characters, and I just had to share these delightful moments with you all!

- A charming robin perched on the roof, singing its heart out with joy, as if to welcome the new day.
- Look at this cheeky squirrel peeking from behind the tree, caught in a funny standoff with a pigeon showing off its wings.
- Two birds, a jackdaw and a pigeon, sharing a meal on the feeder. The pigeon seems a bit protective of its snack, don’t you think?
- And finally, such a tender moment between two jackdaws, sharing what looks like a little kiss! How sweet!

You can watch the full video of these adorable antics here: https://youtu.be/FuauvngR29s
