Since 1991, the beginning period of global “Information Age”, everyone, then, needs to have access to information, data, knowledge, etc., to support his/her decision making. However, the amount of information, data, knowledge have vastly increased to such an extent that it’s called “Information Explosion”. Thus, it is not possible to consume these information, data and knowledge in all respects. The discipline of “Information Science” has, therefore, emerged, with the purpose to train learners to manage information systematically. Those who have undergone the training are called “Information Officer”, and will provide service to make the public use information smartly. Suan Dusit Rajabhat University has, therefore, offered a Bachelor of Arts Program in Library and Information Science, in 1991, to produce “Information Officer” to serve the society.
