Top 5 Tips for Healthy Hair 👱🏼‍♀️💛💇🏼‍♀️✨

1. Trim your hair regularly to avoid split ends! On average, you should trim your hair every 6-8 weeks to prevent split ends and promote healthy hair growth. Regular trims maintain shape and vitality, especially for longer hair. Adjust based on your specific needs.
2. Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioners to retain your hair’s natural oils. Shampoo your hair 2-3 times a week. Over-washing strips the hair of its natural oils, which will lead to dryness, while less frequent washing can lead to buildup. If you feel the need to wash your hair every day but are afraid of overwashing, try doing a good rinse and condition. (No shampoo) That works for me!
3. Avoid excessive heat styling to prevent damage. Set your styling tools such as curling irons and flat irons between 325-375 for optimal results without excessive heat damage to your hair. Adjust based on your hair type and style preferences. Rarely will hair styling require heat over 375 degrees.
4. Maintain a balanced diet for overall hair health. Here are some goods that contribute to healthy hair growth: • Fatty Fish (rich in omega-3s) • Eggs (protein and biotin) • Spinach (iron and vitamins) • Nuts and Seeds (vitamin E and zinc) • Sweet Potatoes (beta-carotene)
5. Stay Hydrated Drink plenty of water for hair hydration, aim for at least 8 glasses of water daily. More hydration the better! This will make a huge difference in your overall health and will reflect in your hair and skin. Drink up!
