Hi buds 🌱 Happy March! How are you doing? Hope you're well and excited for the upcoming spring - in Tokyo it's finally starting to warm up a bit. I wanted to highlight a video I just posted: How to Optimize your Linkedin Profile.
I know some of you are job seekers + possibly in a similar situation as me, being laid off, and this will help you save some time by having recruiters reach out to you instead of you taking too much time finding job opportunities. It will also be great for anyone looking to improve their Linkedin profile in general and don't know where to start.
I've been making videos for a few years now and every single video I post, I try to do better than the last -- I think this is one of my best, content quality wise. I don't say it lightly. Give it a watch if you're interested!

Hey all. I just want to say thank you for all of your kind words especially on my layoff diaries videos. The internet is a cruel space and it honestly terrifies me (lol) but this little community is what makes me want to post and be honest regardless of my fear. I’m so grateful for your empathy and thoughtfulness. I notice. Every comment cheers me up, and fires me up when you say “make more videos.” 🤍

As mentioned, don’t worry about me. I’m doing fine and I’m very privileged to be in the position I am in now. I’m thinking for the next episodes in the series, I’ll focus more on helping those who have been laid off instead of just talking about my experience. Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to hear about any time.

What’s a mistake you learned from recently?
I have been banging my head on the wall wondering why my audio has been so bad lately. I’m using a microphone and I just tried to change it to another one again….only to realize I had been plugging it into the wrong input this whole time. A complete doofus move that has haunted me for months. I’m so embarrassed. Two years into YouTube and yet….☠️

In other news, please bare with me while I finish my videos I’ve already taken 😅 audio will be better.

Happy New Years, my buds. I've been enjoying my time off by mostly eating a ton, reading for hours at coffee shops, playing video games, and talking long walks outside. Nothing exciting, but nonetheless the mundane things that make my mind peaceful and happy. How did you spend your holidays?
In December, I finished reading Kazuo Ishiguro's: Klara and the Sun, Never Let Me Go, and Remains of the Day. Has anyone read any of these, and what did you think?
