RIP to singer and songwriter Angie Stone who passed away at 63 after a car crash. According to reports her Sprinter van was hit by an 18-wheeler truck causing it to flip 3 times. We send our prayers and condolences to her family & friends.

RIP. Mississippi Deputy Sheriff Martin Shields, Jr. was murdered when he was shot and killed at a domestic violence scene.

A female requested help in retrieving her belongings from a home. When Deputy Shields and another deputy arrived at the scene, a man inside the house fired at them. The suspect also shot his wife and another female trying to flee the home, both are in stable condition.

Deputy Shields had served with the Hinds County Sheriff's Office for nine months and previously served with the Mississippi Department of Corrections and the Jackson Police Department. His father was also a Captain with the Hinds County Sheriff's Office.

He is survived by his wife and daughter.
