Giovanni Jaël Jano, known globally as JAEL, is a Moluccan recording artist, producer, DJ, and vocalist from the Netherlands. Drawing from Moluccan Folk, Gospel, Soul, and Electronic music, he delivers electrifying shows blending DJing, soulful vocals, and live instrumentation. A long-standing member of LA’s Soulection, JAEL has performed at Boiler Room Festival, Glastonbury, Bass Coast, Lowlands, and toured extensively across the USA, South Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Featured on BBC 1, Rinse FM, and in Mixmag’s “Top 25 DJs Who Defined The Year” (2023), he continues to push creative boundaries. His debut album Half As Much (2021) and collaborations with Juls, Wizkid, and Sister Nancy highlight his versatility.
