Hi there! My name is Jane Font. I'm pleased to meet you!

Once upon a time, when I was little more than a wee girl, someone asked me, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” My answer, given without a moment’s thought or hesitation, was: “An artist!” But the sad truth was, I was born without a single artistic bone in my body—only the desire to art and the gumption to give it my best shot. And so one day, not too long ago, I decided it was time to try. Now I have a successful acrylic painting tutorial channel on YouTube, where I upload free, weekly videos and talk to fine folks, just like you, all over the world. I even have my very own line of custom paint brushes! I would love if you'd join me and paint along!

Today at 1pm we're going to have our makeup session since we didn't get together last Sunday. I'm SO excited for today's topic!!! I think it will be really helpful to many of you. It will at least give you something to think about :)

The human mind and senses developed with survival in mind. Today, though, we have the luxury of using those exact same survival instincts and skills to bring beauty into the world instead of running away from a sabertoothed tiger through a dark cave and a crowded forest. Come chat with me and I'll explain what I mean! If you want to experiment along with me, bring some paper and chalk/pastel or even some crayons/pencils. I'll be using soft pastels so I can quickly and easily demonstrate our concepts. I hope to see you there!!
