Welcome to Ukrainian Aqua!

This channel is primarily about the fish and aquatic animals I own or have managed to film, and occasionally other animals. Right now I run two active tanks: an 84 L deep-substrate planted community tank and a 30 L nano tank with a plakat betta, orange neocaridina shrimp, and other invertebrates.

You’ll also find footage from my previous tanks, as well as from public aquariums and local fish shops, plus moments with Holly, my Yellow Labrador, and occasional nature clips.

Welcome home, a stunning pair of Apistogramma viejita. Rare, colorful, and already settling into the tank nicely.

There’s still some debate here—leaning toward viejita, but they could be a high-grade Apistogramma macmasteri variant. Either way, the quality on this pair is hard to ignore.

A tiny surprise in my aquarium! 🔍
This flat little traveler on the glass turned out to be a freshwater limpet—a harmless hitchhiker that likely arrived with live plants. These miniature snails feed on algae and biofilm, helping keep the tank clean and balanced.

Nature always finds a way to amaze, even at just a few millimeters in size. 🌿🐚
