Happy Feast of the Epiphany! Today we recognize ourselves in the Magi… we can feel the restlessness in our hearts- searching, seeking, longing for truth. Longing for God. And we rejoice that God meets us on this journey- He uses what is familiar to us to draw us to Him.

I pray that like the Magi, we recognize God when we see Him- even if it’s in the most humble of people or most unexpected of places.

Many of you know that I have a particular interest in the Church’s relationship with Ancient Spirituality. This book is a thesis for why Christians should reevaluate Astrology in the light of the Magi. After reading the book “The Case for Patriarchy” by Tim Gordon, I knew I had to respond. The book was AWFUL.

BUT, I knew I could not do so without making it unequivocally clear that I am not a radical feminist, that I do believe in Paternal Headship, and that I believe in what the Bible says about women submitting to their husbands.

SO- I created my own case for Patriarchy. One that uses biological and theological evidence to support the argument, rather than weird analogies and pages and pages on the WNBA.
