What is Outside Chronicles? It's a channel devoted to ALL THINGS OUTSIDE. We chronicle our outdoor adventures to motivate people to GET OUTSIDE and live life. Being based in New York State, our adventures center on the Northeast in places like the Allegany State Park, Letchworth State Park, Adirondack Mountains and White Mountains, but occasionally we can be found at National Parks throughout the country. We also bring you gear reviews and HOW TO videos to help you get outside more and with more confidence. I hope you enjoy our videos of hiking, backpacking, camping, whitewater rafting, kayaking and fishing adventures.

I got "paralysis through analysis" when selecting this tent. I looked at the Nemo Dragonfly OSMO, Big Agnes Copper Spur, S2S Telos, and the Durston x-mid. All had their good points. I really liked the Dragonfly, but the taper and small vestibules turned me off. The Copper Spur had almost all of the features I wanted but had the taper and was really expensive. I also read it is not as durable as its competitors. The Telos is a cool concept but heavier and pricey. I arrived at the MSR. It ticked more of the boxes despite some of the blackeyes MSR has taken in the past. I love my MSR gear. I have multiple snowshoes and stoves. I took a chance that they fixed some of the problems with early releases and so far, I love the tent.
