SisterSong Women of Color

SisterSong: National Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective was formed in 1997 by 16 organizations of women of color from four mini-communities (Native American, African American, Latina, and Asian American) who recognized that we have the right and responsibility to represent ourselves and our communities, and the equally compelling need to advance the perspectives and needs of women of color.

SisterSong is a Southern based, national membership organization; our purpose is to build an effective network of individuals and organizations to improve institutional policies and systems that impact the reproductive lives of marginalized communities.

✨ It’s SisterSong Kentucky Day! ✨

From grassroots organizing to statewide coalition-building, SisterSong Kentucky advances Reproductive Justice with and for the communities most impacted by reproductive oppression. Through Liberated Birthing: Kentucky’s Maternal Justice Initiative, The Birth Justice Care Fund, Flow & Freedom, campus engagement, and healing-centered community dialogues, we’re turning care into collective power.

Today, we also honor Dr. Ana’neicia Williams, our Kentucky Program Coordinator, whose leadership and vision continue to shape this work, creating spaces for healing, building coalitions across the state, and centering the lived experiences of Black, Indigenous, queer, and trans birthing people.

💜 We want to hear from you: What’s been your favorite SisterSong Kentucky moment? Share in the comments so we can celebrate together.
