Hi! I'm Leslie, a Daughter of God who happens to be a Prophet and a Dreamer. Email me at: creatorsheart1111@gmail.com for prayer requests and testimonies
The way we seek God matters. 1 Chronicles 16:11 uses two different Hebrew words for āseekāāone means to pursue Him intentionally, and the other means to seek Him through prayer. This shows us that seeking God isnāt passive; itās about all of our daily, deliberate actions that draw us closer to Him. Some days, that looks like passionate pursuitāchasing after Him through His Word, in worship, and in obedience. Other days, itās simply coming to Him in prayer, even when we feel distracted, or down. The fact that God asks Him to "seek" Him in two different ways shows how desperately Heās waiting to be found.
Recently I was in a church service where the chorus of one of my favorite songs, "I Trust in God" was being sung repeatedly so that we could all soak in the presence of God... Every time we sang the word "sought" I heard God say "seek me"... I knew that the lyrics came from a scripture so I looked it up and found that it was Psalm 34:4.
Whenever I feel like God is highlighting a specific word to me I like to look the word up in the Strong's Concordance to see what it means Biblically (In Hebrew and Greek) as opposed to just the English definition, as you can see by the definition of the words in the carousel post below.
I felt God telling me to "Seek and Soak".
There is something that He wants to teach me (us) through continually seeking Him (consulting Him through prayer, worship, and study) and soaking (intentionally being in a state of stillness with God).
I will share a new Seek & Soak post each Sunday, and I invite you to join me on this journey. Letās intentionally seek God and soak in His presence together, trusting that He will meet us in the stillness.
I wait for your salvation, LORD. Genesis 49:18 No one who waits for you will be disgraced; those who act treacherously without cause will be disgraced. Psalm 25:3 But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Lord, be gracious to us! We wait for you. Be our strength every morning and our salvation in time of trouble. Isaiah 33:2 I waited patiently for the Lord, and he turned to me and heard my cry for help. Psalm 40:1 The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the person who seeks him. Lamentations 3:25 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the LORD. Psalm 27:14
Therefore the LORD is waiting to show you mercy, and is rising up to show you compassion, for the LORD is a just God. All who wait patiently for him are happy. Isaiah 30:18 Wait for the LORD and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. You will watch when the wicked are destroyed. Psalm 37:34 For evildoers will be destroyed, but those who put their hope in the LORD will inherit the land. Ps 37:9 On that day it will be said, āLook, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he has saved us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him. Letās rejected and be glad in his salvation.ā Isaiah 25:9
Something about this song⦠God has been UNDENIABLY good to me all the days of my life! Even in what has been bad, Heās turned it all for my good! šš½
When you read your Bible to find God, you inevitably begin to find yourself.
Learning about Godās character, His promises, and His actions, shows you not only who He is, but also how He sees you and how you should see yourself.
In His Word, you find your identity, worth, and purpose, because you are made in His image. The more you pursue an understanding of Godās heart, the more clarity you gain about your own heartā¦like your desires, struggles, and calling.
Scripture shows us truths that help you to see yourself through His eyes, as beloved, redeemed, and chosen.
I hear the word REFLECTION.
God wants us to know that when we seek and see Him, we seek and see ourselves. š«¶š½
Donāt dismiss that inner knowing, that āGod feelingā. You know when you just canāt put your finger on it but you know in your knower that you know something⦠yea, that part. When it feels like wisdom or understanding has kicked in and you just canāt shake a feeling or a thought⦠something that flesh and blood didnāt reveal to you, you canāt explain how or why you know, but you just do.
Thatās God. Thatās His Spirit. Not that bad temperamental gut thatās in need of a probiotic to say the least⦠not that gut that has your whole world turned upside down and inside out if you drink a sip of milk⦠not that gut sis!
God is trying to get you to pay attention to something, to be aware of something, to seek His advice and insight on something.
You donāt have a gut feeling, you have a God feeling⦠you better go holler at Him šš½
Lean into Christ, trust in His timing, and know that He is walking with you every step of the way. The same God who has seen you through past difficulties will lead you through this one...AGAIN...and be honest how many AGAINS have you had already?
Your ability to overcome doesnāt come from your own power... it comes from the strength that only Christ can provide. Even when you feel weak or unsure, God is your strength. Philippians 4:13 isnāt just a part of a passage of scripture... it's a PROMISE that whatever you're facing, Godās strength is enough.
Someone is wondering why after giving God their complete and total yes, totally surrendering to His plan, why you lost everythingā¦
Lost your home, your car, money, relationships⦠shoot almost lost your mind.
The Lord did a hard factory reset on your life. He took you back to the beginning, you are starting over because He had to lay the right foundation⦠His foundation.
A lot of the things and people you acquired were not through the workings of the Lord. The things and people you found comfort in were not given to you by God. They came as distractions and truly as diseases to your soul. They came to shine a bright light in your face and blind you from seeing the true path He intended for you to walk.
(Yes spiritual oppression can come in the form of a spouse, a friend, a new car youāve been wanting, a promotion, etc. everything that looks good isnāt always soā¦)
No it doesnāt necessarily feel good to start over and it may not make any sense now, but He is removing every stumbling block.
When you start over in Jesusās name, His peace (even in the midst of the rebuild) will surpass all your understanding.
Lord how is it that I have absolutely nothing now but I feel more at peace and am experiencing more freedom than I ever did when I had all the things that the world says we need to have?!
If you only knew what was really tied to those āthings and peopleā. The bondage that these things kept you in. You feel free and light now or you soon will because His yoke is easy and His burden is light. āØ

š£ļø Be careful being petty⦠It often comes with a price that the āpetty oneā canāt truly afford to pay.
The cost may seem low at the moment, but the Law of Reaping and Sow ends with inflation! š¬š
Somebody say high interest rates!
Somebody say state and federal tax!
Somebody say late fees! Penalties! Collection agencies! Garnished wages!
šššš
Just choose to be peaceable and not petty today ok?

We often hear people say ātrust your gutā or āI got a gut feelingā⦠I donāt believe what you are experiencing has anything to do with the gut⦠(your gut isnāt even working properly, youāve been backed up for days tbh, and do you even know whatās down in there? š© but I digress)
