On the live with ‪@SpencerJohnsonOfficial‬ tonight where we talked about the Chase devalues, if you weren't able to join I'll have it linked below, someone brought up that Chase will honor Edit "Points Boost" bookings at 2 cents per point when redeeming Ultimate Reward points (Chase points).

We were able to find that information during the live, but I was able to find it after the live and this is what the Chase spokesman said,

"Some of our Chase Travel content marketing the 2x points boost promotion for The Edit remained in market longer than intended. We will proactively honor 2x points value for any customers who book a stay at a property in The Edit through December 22, 2025. Customers will see the points adjustment in their Ultimate Rewards balance."

Here are my thoughts, curious to hear yours:

1. I don't appreciate Chase is gaslighting by saying the Edit's points boost was never intended to be a forever thing and then goes ahead and blames the marketing team; even though it's been up for almost 6 months now and was promoted as 2x when the card refreshed. Kind of scummy in my opinion.

2. Seems like they are giving back points, at 2 cents per point value, if you make a booking before December 22nd (5 days including today 12/17); even if when booking it is less than 2 cents per point (usually 1.65 cents per point now and assuming after 12/22).

So tons of backlash, which is good, don't stop fighting 🥊 But at least we got a little bone. So if you booked using cash instead of points boost but you wanted to take advantage of points boost, now is the time to do so!

Shoutout to rkshack!

rkshack did a test transaction for online Toast gift cards using the Sapphire Dining credit and it seems like the exact same restaurant I tried to use the Sapphire Dining credit, earlier in the year, on for Toast; does work now.

Seems like Chase has loosen the requirements; as we’ve seen recently, with other random non-Sapphire dining transactions coding towards the credit.

So as of right now it does seem like online Toast gift cards do work 👍 But of course your mileage may vary (YMMV).

Might be a good way to use the credit before the year is over (REMEMBER TO USE YOUR CREDITS!!)

Today I Re-realized the General Public Does Not See Credit Cards the Way We Do 😅

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 !!

Thanks again for a great year and for 9,035 subscribers! I really appreciate each and every one of you that takes the time to watch my videos, comment and subscribe.

I know a lot of you all are traveling today, I wish you safe travels. My mom is traveling today (50,000 Venture X points to Hong Kong seating in premium economy) she arrived at the airport at 3AM and had to wait 2 hours just to get through the lines 😅

Also remember if anything happens many of your credit cards has trip delay insurance, trip cancellation, baggage delays, lost luggage and emergency dental and medical assistance. And for you all driving, many credit cards have roadside assistance. So, knock on wood, nothing happens, but if they do; remember to take advantage of your benefits!!

I hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving and can get some good deals on Black Friday!!
