I’m starting a clothing line! TPFA-branded t-shirt!

This is one of the joke conversations Matt & I have because when you work with someone and care about them, it’s inevitable you connect, have a laugh, and form a friendship.

Matt @matt.benton7 is a coffee lover, a bourbon biscuit lover and a lover of life and his family. A man after my own heart.

Someone who would do anything for his wife and children.

Someone who wants to be healthy for his family.

Someone who will set an example of the importance of health and balance to his children.

So what is TPFA?

It started from a TikTok LIVE I did with Mr Motivator, where I said parking further away makes a difference. In that live, Matt commented #TEAMPARKFURTHERAWAY, which then became a running joke, to the point where I started saying maybe I should start a TPFA clothing line.

Matt said he’d buy one šŸ˜‚

Working with Matt has been brilliant. I’ve embedded my Dial Method for fat loss, and he has been amazing.

Some weeks I’ve had to reassure him, some weeks I’ve had to tell him to do less, and other weeks I’ve made tweaks so he can still make health and life coexist.

Everything I do with Matt is the backbone of my 6-week programme, Breaking Fads. Right now, it’s the only way to work with me. My 121 coaching is full.

We start 4th May.

Just £179.

It will change your health, your life, and you’ll become the role model your family and children deserve.

Mark told me to write this post.

So here I am.

He told me Breaking Fads isn’t just a fat loss programme.

It helped him understand what he actually wants from his health, how to get it, and how to keep doing the things he loves for as long as possible.

For Mark, that’s wildlife photography.

Getting out into the field.

Waiting for the shot.

Being able to move, carry kit, stay out for hours.

Doing it at 60. At 70.

As long as he possibly can.

That’s what he wanted to protect.

So yes I’m proud of what I’ve built (it’s good to say it out loud, thanks Mark)

Years of learning not just in nutrition and training, but in how to actually connect with people.

Because you can hand someone all the right information, and it still won’t work if they don’t feel understood.

The programme is only part of it.

The coaching is the other half.

Mark’s results are his. But I’ll take credit for putting the two together, because he is right, I should.

But Mark did the work, I just steered the ship.

He’s also an incredible wildlife photographer; the shots in this post are all his.

My 6-week fat loss programme, Breaking Fads, starts on the 4th May.

Spaces opened TODAY (28th April) for priority list, with a discount today only. Head here to join priority list to get access: breakingfad.craigjackson.fitness/breakingfads

Nicola came to me convinced her body was working against her.

She was perimenopausal, had tried everything, and kept hitting the same wall.

The weight wouldn't shift.

Every programme she'd tried had either demanded too much or delivered too little.

After a while, it's easy to conclude that the problem is you, your age, your hormones, your body just not playing ball anymore.

That wasn't the problem.

The problem was that nobody had ever taught her how fat loss actually works.

Not for her life, not in plain English, not in a way she could apply and maintain without someone holding her hand every step of the way.

Six weeks later, Nicola told me the programme was so effective she didn't need another programme again.

Not because Breaking Fads is magic. Because it gave her the understanding to keep going long after the six weeks ended. That's the whole point.

We're two days out, so here's exactly what you're getting inside.

Each week builds on the last, teaching you how fat loss works and why, not just what to do, but how to make decisions for yourself when life gets in the way.

You'll have a dedicated coach giving you personalised video feedback on your check-ins, not generic advice copy-pasted from a template.

You'll join weekly live calls where I teach you how to think about fat loss, not just follow instructions.

And you'll be part of a private community where you can see other people proving it's possible in real time.

Early access opens on 28th April at 9am, exclusively for people on the priority list. You'll get £30 off and a 24-hour head start before it opens to everyone else.

Last time I ran Breaking Fads it sold out to the priority list before the general public got a look in.

Getting on the priority list won't guarantee you a spot, but it gives you the best possible chance of getting one.

Comment FAD or head to my bio for details, discount and early access.

I've lost count of the amount of times I've heard, "I can't start now because I've got X, Y, Z coming up."

This is exactly why nobody with that mindset makes any progress or always goes back to baseline.

We can all do well when there's a clean sheet and there's nothing going on.

When you get to our stage of life, there's always something going on.

We rarely have three weeks with nothing.

It's not like when you're in your twenties, before children, with no responsibilities.

Now it's different.

Fat loss is different, and an integral part of making it work is learning how to turn it up and turn it down and never off.

Which is what I call my dial method to fat loss and health, and it is the backbone of my six-week fat loss programme, Breaking Fads.

I purposely run my programmes with a school holiday in the middle so you leave the programme with all the tools to be able to make this work.

Spaces are capped because you are actually coached, this is not terrible Facebook community style coaching.

You can make massive changes to your health just following these six steps.

Social media wants you to overcomplicate health and make you feel like you have a million things to do.

But most change comes from the mundane done on repeat.

I know it’s not flash or sexy but it’s the truth.

FYI exercise for me is 3 times per week. Follow for more on this next week.

I used to think lifting weights was a young person's game.

It couldn't be further from the truth.

Staying strong is what protects you the most as you get older.

It keeps you independent, it helps with bones, hormones, stops falls and is great for your mental health.

If I had to give just one piece of advise to anyone in the world about their health, it would be stay strong to live long.

Stay strong, live long 🫶🫶

As Ronan Keating once saidĀ ā€˜ If tomorrow never comes ā€˜Ā
Ā
The downside of getting older is that everyone else does around you.Ā
Ā
Parents, family members and friends get unwell and the result, well I don’t have to spell it out to you.Ā
Ā
Tomorrow is never promised but one thing for certain is, we control our own health and fitness.Ā

You can white-knuckle your way through a diet. You can follow a plan from the internet and lose some weight. Plenty of people do.
Ā
But if nobody teaches you the why behind what you’re doing, if nobody helps you build habits that actually stick when life gets in the way, you end up back where you started. Again.
Ā
I know this because I’ve been there myself.Ā

I spent years randomly following ā€˜on-trend’ workouts, barely resting, following whatever dietary trend was popular that month.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to realise that none of it was necessary.
Ā
That’s why I coach the way I do now.Ā

No extremes. No foods you’re banned from eating. A structured approach built around your life that you can turn up when things are good and turn down when things are hectic, but never off.
Ā
I don’t take on loads of clients at once, not because I’m trying to sound exclusive, but because the moment I take on too many, the quality of support drops. And the support is the whole point.
Ā
If you’ve been telling yourself you’ll sort this out next month, I’d ask you one thing:Ā how many months have you been saying that?
Ā
There will always be something going on.Ā

A birthday, a holiday, a stressful patch at work. That never changes.Ā

The only thing that changes is whether you’ve built the habits and knowledge to handle it without falling apart.

I’ve made the mistakes, so you don’t have to. Instead of guessing or following someone else’s plan, you need to build your plan. The only way to do this is to understand and learn, not just copy.

Send me a message if you have had enough of guessing what will work, and actually want a programme that is for you that you can manage around your life.

I used to think I had a willpower problem.

I’d be doing brilliantly. Then a bad day at work, a weekend away, a birthday meal, and I’d convince myself I’d ruined everything.

Back to square one. Again.

The guilt. The frustration. The ā€œright, Monday I’m starting over.ā€

If you’ve felt that, you already know how exhausting it is.

What I didn’t realise, and what took me far too long to figure out, was that I wasn’t broken. I wasn’t weak. I just kept trying to follow a path that was never built for my life.

Someone else’s diet. Someone else’s training plan. Someone else’s version of what getting healthy was supposed to look like.

The day everything changed wasn’t when I found a better programme.

It was when I stopped looking for one.

When I started understanding why things work, not just what to do. When I stopped punishing myself for being human and started working with my life instead of against it.

There’s no wagon. There never was.

There’s just your road. And once you know how to walk it, you don’t fall off, because there’s nothing to fall off of.

I work with a small number of new people each month, just 2 or 3, so that I can give proper attention to each person and their life, not a cookie-cutter plan.

Spaces are open for March.

If that resonates and you’d like to find out more, head here apply.craigjackson.fitness/ and I’ll get back to you.

Your child comes home from school with a story.

ā€œDad, you know Sam? His parents give him Ā£50 pocket money every week. He can stay up as late as he wants. He gets whatever he asks for.ā€

You know it’s rubbish. Either completely made up or an extreme situation that’s nothing like real life.

So you say: ā€œNo way. That’s not how it works.ā€

Now here’s the problem:

On social media, WE become that child.

We see the extremes. The 6am ice baths. The 5-day fasts. The person who lost 3 stone in 8 weeks detox diet

And we think: ā€œThat sounds amazingā€ or ā€œThat sounds mental.ā€

But either way, we’re drawn to it. Like a moth to a bulb.

When really, like the moth, we should stay away from the bulb. Because those extreme stories? They’re either made up or they’re damaging someone’s physical and mental health.

Nothing needs to be extreme to look after your health.

In fact, the more extreme it is, the more damage it’s likely doing.

Real life doesn’t need ice baths and chicken for every meal.

Real life needs sustainable habits that actually work when you’ve got a job, kids, and a life.

If you’re scrolling Instagram at 11pm looking at transformation stories, you’re not lacking motivation.

You’re looking for inspiration.

But tomorrow morning when the alarm goes off? That inspiration from last night means nothing.

Because inspiration is just a feeling. And feelings don’t get you results when it’s cold, dark, and your bed is comfortable.

Action does.

I spent years waiting to ā€œfeel readyā€ before I’d start.

Waiting for the perfect Monday, the right headspace, that surge of motivation that would make it all feel easy.

It never came.

What actually changed things? Starting anyway. Taking action on a random Tuesday when I didn’t feel ready, didn’t feel motivated, but did it regardless.

And what I didn’t expect: the benefits went way beyond how I looked.

I laughed more. Smiled more. Had the energy to actually get stuck in with my kids instead of just supervising from the sofa. I was more present with them because I felt better in my own skin.

Looking after your body changes your mind too. They’re linked. And when you realise that connection, it’s powerful.

That’s when I discovered that motivation doesn’t create action - action creates motivation.

You don’t need to feel inspired to take the first step. You just need to take it.

The motivation you’re looking for? It’s on the other side of consistent action, not before it.

My 6-week fat loss programme Breaking Fads opens spaces in 2 days (28th Jan) to the priority list. If you’re ready to take action instead of waiting for motivation, head here breakingfad.craigjackson.fitness/breakingfads.

Priority list members can get 7 weeks for the price of 6.
