Yesterday once more... Always on the lookout for content that you never knew you needed or perhaps even knew existed in the first place. This channel is not and nor will it ever be monetized!
I’ve decided to take a short break from YouTube, and a bit of time away from feeding the machine. Back shortly with another rare Sunday afternoon series from the 70’s, be it all sitting well with the copyright Gods.
So as some of you who have been enjoying watching John Halifax, Gentleman these past four Sunday’s, and I know many of you have, this coming Sunday marks the final episode of the series. I have been busy these last couple of weeks, researching and trying to source more rarities from this popular Sunday afternoon television spot for future broadcasts on MDC. In the meantime I would like to thank everyone who has left positive feedback on the way that I have scheduled this programme. I do feel that Sunday programming, the way I remember it myself as a child, has a particular place in my heart and I am proud of the community we have built around this truly wonderful series, much in the same way I did with The Long Chase that was also originally broadcasted on Sundays at 17:40.
I thought I'd given up on the BBC in 2010. 'Then they pulled me back in' with the Detectorists. By 2022 I was out again. Had I known of the series Mandy then, I'd have gladly stayed but I didn't, not until earlier this year and after a conversation that I had with an old friend from University, after saying I was done with terrestrial television (reassuring him though that I had ways of still being able to watch anything with Alan Partridge) he then told me about Diane Morgan's comedy series Mandy. ABSOLUTE COMEDY GOLD. The memories of the early days of watching those BBC3 comedies in our student house came flooding back.

So very saddened to learn of the death of Prunella Scales but what great memories she has left us with, from Hobsons Choice to Fawlty Towers. And I Always loved watching Great Canal Journeys on the telly with my late mum.

I’ve watched this clip at least twice a year for the past seven years because it is such a wonderfully delivered anecdote by the lovely Diana Dors
