hey everyone! I posted a fun live performance of Pollyanna from EarthBound! I just love this song. It actually helped me become more of a positive person. When I first covered this in 2016, I wished I could think this way more. I can say now that I really do!
We performed this on twitch last week! There, we perform our ENTIRE backlog of VGM covers, and make new ones all the time. Hey! Wanted to share my new VGM with you! Snowman (EarthBound) with original lyrics! ❄️! It's the first full vgm arrangement I've produced in a long time.

Been performing this only on the livestream for years, and now it's streaming on all platforms!

For the vid, I mixed snowy locations with split screen vgm vibes of the recording session, as a comfy throwback to 2015-era of YouTube :)

For the song, I focused on making it atmospheric, and lonely yet hopeful with the synths & vocal harmonies.

Song storytime ~ On a ship traveling upon Europa, a moon of Jupiter, a crew member discovers a stowaway hiding aboard. The stowaway asks him if he hears seabirds singing beneath the frozen ocean, and tells him she's going to join them.
Europa is an ethereal duet with Chrono Trigger inspired seagull synths. This song blends dreamy alt/indie/pop with VGM into the OrcaMind atmosphere! Our songs have a running theme and characters within them, and this song is part of that story.

We went on a serious quest in a snowstorm to capture the visuals of this video, and it turned out to be my favorite video of ours to edit!! Check it out :) Thanks for your incredible support.

Hey everyone! Have you seen the new video yet? Just posted this yesterday, and the song also went up on ALL streaming platforms! It's called Breathe, Breathe 🌬️

So far, ONE person has found the vgm easter egg in the song. Once you hear it, you can't unhear it.. but it's oddly hard to spot at first. Did you know that every single one of our original OrcaMind songs has video game music inspiration in it? Whether it be in the synth sounds used, or hidden nods to our fave game music, it's in there.

Hey Mister has been one of our favorites to perform on our livestream for over 2 years, & it's finally out in the world!
Listen, share, and add it to your playlists!

The lyrics are about struggling with burnout - something that all creatives out there have dealt with. Things not happening the way you planned, and there's many forks in the road! Questioning your motives, and regaining the drive to go on.

The choral part (my favorite part) is a sound representation of giving yourself time to think and process everything. When asked "Hey Mister what's your name write your answer cause they need it now!" the second time, the protaganist of the song doesn't feel the need to write anything. They have a new refreshed perspective within, after giving themselves time to reflect.

🍂 there's VGM references within the song (mario 64 hidden musical easter egg, and also zelda kokiri), as always. and tons of layers to enjoy sound-wise.

For those who don't know, I livestream my ENTIRE VGM backlog on twitch as well as tons of original music inspired by vgm, on my twitch. Sometimes on youtube, people tell me they miss my vgm covers...they are probably telling me as I'm performing the same covers at the same time on twitch and they don't know i stream lol! No need to miss them!
