The Netherlands 🇳🇱 is the country I am born and currently live in. I love the native people, the strong economic situation, the many amenities available, such as diverse shops, a robust pension system, excellent healthcare, the fact that we have freedom of speech, the absence of war and conflicts and a favorable business climate for anyone who want to work hard. But what I don’t like is the flatness of our country, the people who abuse the social security system, the insane costs of living and especially… the weather!

In July and August, the Netherlands experiences average daytime temperatures of 22-23°C (72-73°F), with cooler nights. While these are also the months with the most rainfall, lightning and humidity this often leads to muggy conditions. Summer in the Netherlands is a mix of warm, sunny hot days (mostly 3 in a row before the rain comes) and scattered showers & lightning due to the temperate maritime climate. Most of the time, it doesn’t feel like a real ☀️ summer of swimming, beach and relaxing. Now I’m aware that it’s a privilege to enjoy time off and just relax. It’s a privilege to live in a stable country and to be able to spend money on anything you want. I have been in a place where I couldn’t afford the rent for months and relying on God for provision, so I know how that feels.

But my motto is; if you don’t like it, you change it. But if you can’t change it, you have to move to another place where conditions are in your favor. I have zero influence on the weather, so I pick up my stuff, take the car and go to a more favorable climate. As the children always has to go to school (well, if you don’t want to get in trouble with the government and make use of the privilege of education 😎) we have a long break of 6 weeks in the summer…

After some planning we went driving our 21 year old Toyota car 7 days via Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, North Macedonia, all the way to Greece 🇬🇷 , visiting the main cities of all those countries 😍. Now we have 3 weeks here before another week of driving home (well I won’t stop that long and often, so maybe we will stay a bit longer here 😉)

Now I am writing this with 30°C at 10:00 AM, (86 °F), sitting at the pool, with full blazing sun, the weather is not changing anytime soon and we have lots of beautiful things to go see and visit.

So what I want to say is: if you don’t like your circumstances, change the circumstances. If that’s not possible, YOU have to change OR adapt. Never say “I can’t” or “it’s impossible”. Change your self-talk to “I don’t know HOW to do it right now, but I will make a plan and DO IT”. If that is really want you want.

For me, my spouse and our 4 beautiful kids, it’s time to chill and recharge the batteries during this 6-week long summer break. I like to have physical distance to my studio, webshops and other businesses. I have a lot of awesome videos already planned with release dates inside of YouTube, so it won’t be a silent summer content wise 😀.

When I’m back I will upgrade my studio to the most amazing one I have ever had and I will make more awesome tutorials to help anybody out there who wants to learn or just needs a solution 🤩.

If you are still reading, I really hope you also can enjoy some time off, get your mind of work and read some interesting books. Stay healthy and live your most amazing life, it’s a precious gift!

Hi guys! Hope you are all alright! Thanks for the kind responses on my broken elbow, things are recovering good! I have already created a lot of awesome new content 😀

Talking about content, these last weeks I'm getting a bit of negative feelings when scrolling on all social media. I think it has to do with all the meaningless AI content. At first it was fun, but now I have the feeling that its just to much. I can't open up my feed or search in YouTube without getting a lot of AI generated video's or topics about AI.

I'm curious if I'm the only person that notice this, what do you think about the latest AI content flooding YouTube, Insta, TikTok and Pinterest?

Whoops! This past Sunday, my daughter and I had a blast mountain biking through the woods! Everything was going great until we were heading home, and my front wheel hit her back wheel. I fell hard on the asphalt, and besides a lot of blood from my knee, hands, and shoulder, I noticed something wasn't quite right with my elbow. The next day at the hospital, sure enough, I had a fractured elbow! I'm on the mend now, so things might be a bit slower on my end. 😎
