I release a new full length fishing video every week! My lifetime quest involves trying to catch 1,000 different fish species on video, and to make a full length video for each fish species I've caught. This quest was born from the fact that I love fishing for anything that will bite, including overlooked roughfish. I also have dabbled with microfishing. I would love to travel all over the world to target every single fish species, but for now I teach full time in Wisconsin, so most of my fishing adventures are centered around that area. When I do venture out of state on vacation, I always bring a rod and my camera, so some fishing adventures are filmed in different settings.

T Fish Tuesday is almost here. I went fishing with Josh and we put on an absolute clinic catching suckers and smallmouth. How many different sucker species do you think we caught in my next video? The Silver Redhorse is featured, but there were plenty of other fish that were biting.

True or False: There are two different bowfin species. If you watch the next edition of the 1000 fish quest, this question will be answered. New video drops on T Fish Tuesday!!!

Are you enjoying the 1000 fish quest series so far? I'm in the teens now. That Pink Salmon video got a fair amount of views, so that's encouraging. Something tells me I won't get the same kind of audience for the common shiner video that is out next. Side note: Add any suggestions of things to include in the series, or specific fish you'd like to see me target.

I was a guest on Wisconsin Public Radio today, and we were talking about my 1000 fish quest. Just wondering... Have any of you listed to NPR or Wisconsin Public Radio? I was surprised at how many people have reached out and said they heard me on the radio.

Have any of you ever bought or used Piscifun Fishing Gear? I use their reels a lot and hopefully I'll get to test out a rod soon (that is if I don't lose it again to a fish). Side note: I have a new code - TF18 - that you can use to save 18% at their website. I used to have code TF15 to save 15% but I LEVELED UP so you can save 3% more. That's kinda cool.

What was your favorite fish species vid of the summer? I'm back to work tomorrow morning, but I'm going to keep on with the weekly Quest videos as long as I keep catching different species of fish. I had a top three favorite videos from the summer. Pick which one of these three that was your favorite video to watch. (listed in alphabetical order to avoid bias) If I didn't list your fave, feel free to tell me in the comments.

Are you going to watch the latest video on your TV? The 3:30 pm time slot won, so my latest video is free to enjoy. I strongly suggest throwing it on the TV and watching it there. Lots of cool drone footage, beaver dam busting, up close encounters with loons that I didn't plan on, fish catching, and fish frying.

Got a banger of a vid to release tomorrow (Friday), but I want to drop it as a premiere. Vote for what time you could watch the live premiere and the winner will be when it goes live. I hope to see you there.

Is it okay if I post "out of season" fishing trips for my quest to catch 1000 different fish species? What I mean is since I'm a teacher, I have more time to catch different fish species in the summer. I can hold those videos to keep the Tiefsa Tuesday Fish Species episode streak going then during the fall, winter, and spring. There are some species I'm specifically holding off on (Lake Run Brown Trout in Fall, Ice Fishing for Pike, Walleye Run in the Spring), but I'd probably post a summer catch in winter to keep the weekly videos going.

Do you mind if Tiefsa Tuesday turns into the weekly Quest for 1000 Fish Species video? I'm kind of falling into a rhythm of releasing one per week, and that schedule seems doable. I'm considering "stockpiling" videos by catching as many as I can this summer, and then releasing them weekly. I know I won't be able to catch a variety of species during the school year, so I'm trying to plan ahead. Also, #6, the Coho Salmon vid just dropped. It'd be really cool if you just pulled up T Fish on your TV and watched all 6 episodes so far if you haven't done that yet.
