Today you would be 35.
And somehow the world feels like it knows.

We miss you in the loud ways and the soft ones—
in the pauses between songs,
in the ache that shows up unannounced,
in the moments when we reach for the right words
and realize *you already wrote them for us.*

On days like today, your words are still the best ones we can find.

“When grief comes knocking, let her in.
Let her tell you all that was lost.
Let her remind you how marvelous it was.
Let her paint your memories in slow motion, let her sing your story with a cello.”

You taught us not to run from the sorrow,
but to sit with it,
to honor love by letting loss be felt,
to trust that beauty and pain can breathe in the same room.

So today, we let grief in.
And gratitude.
And love that didn’t end when you left.
