We just hit 50,000 subscribers! 🎉

Nearly three years, 296 videos of which 144 are long-form, evidence-based occasional marathons! And one lovely close community later. From Sr. software engineer and technical lead to content creator. And all this happened after diagnosis, after forty.

🔴 Pausing the Tuesday livestreams for a bit. 🔴

Not forever, and nobody's in trouble. I'm putting that energy into long-form videos instead, including a few ideas I've been sitting on; I'd rather do fewer things properly than everything at half power.

Tuesdays will feel a bit odd for a while, I know. I'll post here the second they're back.

In case you missed it: 🧡
Two hours after my eye surgery, one eye patched and running on no sleep, an electrician ⚡️ I'd never met turned up unannounced and let himself in for a "routine safety test". *I didn't have the energy to say no*. So I made myself small in my own temporary flat and quietly stewed about it for hours afterwards, when I should have been resting.
That's fawning 🦌: the autistic stress response where appeasing costs less than confrontation, even when confrontation is more than justified. I'll happily see off a pushy salesperson most days. That day I had nothing left.
The new one is the whole story. The outcome of TWO cataract surgeries, the sensory overload no brochure prepares you for, the research spiral that actually kept me regulated, a kitten called Pippa 🐱, and a long overdue catch-up with Quinn from @Autistamatic.

👓 I walked into an optician for a contact lens prescription. Two hours later I was in the hospital emergency department being tested for a stroke. 🏥 Five months later, I was on an operating table watching a surgeon working inside my eye. 👁️

This is why my YouTube content has been disrupted! 2026 has been a wild ride so far.
