We open our gates to equines that need a second chance. Giving rescue horses, mules, and mustangs the opportunity to heal, learn, and find their purpose again. We hope to do more and more as we are able to, since we are not a rescue or non-profit, we appreciate all of the support.
We always keep it family friendly as we bring you along with our herd of equines, dogs, and all the other barnyard critters.

*UPDATE* We will not be able to go live today 😢

We are sure proud of our "wild mustang" Rooster. He is becoming such a nice horse undersaddle. It's crazy to think he was untouchable. We took him out of the corral and around the property to get him ready for a ride in the mountains soon. You can watch here https://youtu.be/K78FD0FCsQQ

Taz had his vet check, everything looks normal so that’s great news. We are going to try a few more things to see if we notice a difference with him and if we don’t, then it’s most likely just mental anxiety. Which is okay with us, we just want to be sure he isn’t in physical pain before proceeding. 🙂❤️

We will keep you all updated after Taz's vet visit tomorrow.
He is going in for the routine teeth check/float, updated coggins and vaccinations for the new year, sheath cleaning, and then we will move onto the ultrasounds to look at his bladder and kidneys and check for any stones and other potential issues.
A urinalysis, scope for ulcers and then checking for spinal/nerve issues is also something we have on our minds and depending on what we find/don't find we will move onto the next thing as needed.

But the gist is, while his anxiety could be 100% behavioral... some things he is doing have me concerned that this anxiety might be coming from a health issue (or more so the pain from the health issue) (at least partially) I found out some interesting things talking with his past owners after this ride and the timelines they gave me line up with my suspicions.... I'll fill you all in on what we find in the next Taz update.
