The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake might FINALLY be the game that gets me to buy a Nintendo Switch 2. 👀🗡️💚

Today’s Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Direct gave us a much deeper look at the remake, and I have to say… it looks incredible.

I’ve actually NEVER played the original Ocarina of Time, so I’m coming into this completely fresh. I know how legendary and influential the original game is, and getting the opportunity to experience that adventure for the first time through a full modern remake honestly makes me even more excited.

Nintendo is going all-out with this version: completely overhauled visuals, fully voiced cutscenes, expanded character dialogue, a symphonic soundtrack, reworked camera and movement controls, new gameplay additions, and much more.

And we don’t have long to wait — The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launches November 5, 2026, exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2!

I’ve been on the fence about buying a Switch 2 for a LONG time…but between Ocarina of Time and everything Nintendo has been building toward lately, this might finally do it. 😂

Today’s Zelda Direct was a great celebration of 40 years of The Legend of Zelda, and I’ll have more thoughts and coverage from the presentation coming soon!
