Canberra Vintage Computer Exhibition / VCF Down Under 2025 is on this weekend! We're looking forward to seeing everyone's exhibits, the talks on retro computing, and the 40 Years of Amiga celebration. Visit cbrvce.org for more information.
Flyer for this year's Canberra Vintage Computing Exhibition 2025 happening on 19th July 10am-3pm, which is also officially going to be the inaugural VCF Down Under event!
Last year we had over a thousand people viewing the hundreds of computers and consoles on display, and this year looks to be even bigger! The venue this year will be Daramalan College, based in Dickson ACT.
Why you'll want to be there: - Hands on exhibits of retro computers and consoles - from PDPs to Playstations! - Retro talks ranging from restoration advice, tech tales and retro war stories to talks on "modern" retro systems - 40 Years of the Commodore Amiga - celebrate Amiga's Ruby anniversary with rare machines and stories from insider legends! - The "free" table - discover hidden gems of old software, hardware and books and give forgotten parts a new life!
This event is being supported by the Australian Computer Museum Society (ACMS). Anyone exhibiting at the event must register in advance.
Dates and Costs for the Public: - For those of you who are interested in viewing the exhibition and a few talks, the main event open to the public will be on Saturday July 19th, running from 10am to 3pm - If you are just attending on the public event on the Saturday then attendance is FREE with an optional gold coin donation (this is a not-for-profit event, so any donations are helping to cover costs) - For more details see www.cbrvce.org/
Exhibitors, Speakers and Helpers: - For those of you who are interested in exhibiting, speaking or helping/assisting at the event, please register at cvce.amigaretro.com/ - If you are exhibiting with hardware you will need to have an ACMS membership to support insurance coverage for the event (this does NOT apply to speakers or people assisting at the event) - In registering to be an exhibitor or speaker you would want to arrive to set up on the late afternoon/evening of Friday 18th July. As a bonus there will be an additional day on Sunday July 20th only open to registered participants (not open to the public) where you will have time to look at other exhibitor's displays and attend more hard core talks. - There will also be an optional dinner and trivia event (social event) on the Saturday night after the public exhibition has closed for registered participants for a venue TBA in Dickson.
