The story behind the outfits: While in Seoul South Korea, we rented traditional Korean Hambok from the incredible @studiokjd5252! All their garments were legit, traditional and made with love! When getting dressed, we got to meet the CEO, a young man about our age that went by June. He was incredibly passionate about his work, the history he was preserving, and the designs that he had brought to life! We were thrilled to learn about his work in the traditional space as well as his recent debut at Seoul fashion week where he premiered some traditional hambok designs as well as his fusion of more modern designs utilizing Hambok traditions! (They’re INCREDIBLE! We were obsessed with everything he was doing!)
When we returned from our adventures in our traditional Hambok, we were ecstatic when June and his assistant pulled out some of his collection from Seoul Fashion Week AND allowed us to try it on! 😳🤩 Of course we loved everything! He then informed us that the outfits we had tried on would be going home with us. We were completely overwhelmed and in shock! We insisted on paying for them, but he would not hear it! We promised to wear them with pride in America! We knew that this red carpet would be the perfect place to debut them!

One of the best parts of doing this job is the people we meet along the way. This industry can feel so competitive, but when we’re face-to-face, we realize we all share the same worries and dreams.
