Do you have an Instagram account for your channel?
If not, you should - the account should have the exact same name (including capitalization) and same profile picture as your channel
Did you know there are 3 different kinds of Instagram accounts? Personal, Creator, and Business
Creator is probably the best account type for your channel - it's for public figures, content producers, artists, and influencers
However if you are selling a product - something you make yourself, a service, or a course then a Business account would be more appropriate
You can also have a personal account if you like but this should be separate from your channel's account
The 3 different account types have different features and options. Creator accounts can be monetized and use a broad music library while business accounts can have buy now action buttons but a much more limited music library

YouTube suppresses stolen content
If your video has a TikTok watermark, YouTube will reduce it's reach. This isn't a conspiracy theory, they've said so publicly
If your video has a copyright strike, don't expect many views
If you have serious copyright issues on your channel no amount of subscribers or watch time will save you - make resolving the copyright issues your top priority because everything else is a waste of time in that scenario

Is it possible for thumbnails to look TOO PROFESSIONAL?
With YouTube being flooded with low quality AI or "automated" content recently plus the old problem of slideshows, stock footage compilations, and stolen lists masquerading as actual videos are viewers leery of thumbnails that look like templates?
Personally I think every thumbnail needs to look different and contain at least in part a picture you took yourself, perhaps even you!
What do you think? Is there a middle ground between lazy and Fiverr/Canva/TubeBuddy template that is a sweet spot for thumbnails? A place where effort and authenticity meet?

At most 0.5% of the population has active channels
Congratulations, simply by having an active channel you're in the top 0.5%
YouTube has 2.7 billion active users every month. That means on YouTube about 1.4% of people are creators and about 98.6% are only consumers
I know it can FEEL like every genre is oversaturated and everyone has a YouTube channel but it's actually pretty rare
Just by showing up, you're setting yourself apart. Be proud. Now get to work 😉
