MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The man prosecutors claim organized the murder of Memphis rapper Young Dolph asked to have his curfew changed.
Court filings on behalf of Hernandez Govan asked a judge to give him a curfew of 8 p.m. until 7 a.m.
"This request is being made to allow Defendant Govan to seek gainful employment while out on bail," the document states. "Defendant Govan would like to be employed so that he can help support his wife and children."
Govan has been on 24-hour house arrest since posting a $90,000 bail on May 11, 2023.

Govan is now appearing before Judge Jennifer Mitchell who took over the case after Judge Lee Coffee was ordered to recuse himself.
Previous motions filed by Govan in Judge Coffee's court were unsuccessful.
"I don't see any reason at all why this court should relax those conditions and say 'Mr. Govan, we're going to let you go back to being a fully fledged person with no restrictions at all, go to work when you want to, go shopping when you want to, leave the county when you want go, go to other places when you want to," Judge Coffee said.

During that court appearance, Judge Coffee also claimed that Govan had taken trips outside of Shelby County without the approval of the court
