Mawa Ferry Ghat, popularly known as the Mawa Ghat, is one of the biggest ferry terminals in Bangladesh. Every day, thousands of people and vehicles cross the mighty Padma river through Mawa. This Ferry Ghat is situated in Sreenagar Upazila, Munshiganj District, which is 50 kilometres from the capital. Mawa Ghat stays open 24/7 as this is the most used ferry terminal for the west side transport users; the food places around the Ghat also stay open even at midnight.Between the hustling and bustling of the city life amid heavy traffic, it isn't easy to imagine a smooth highway as smooth as butter to drive through for a fun ride. If you still haven't visited Mawa Expressway yet, you are missing out on something mesmerising. After crossing Postogola Bridge, you will find a 30km almost empty highway and that is the mawa express highway location.The impeccable express highway is beautifully organised in lanes and spotless. Especially, the mawa road night view is extraordinary and incredibly eye soothing. Travellers stop at particular places to take mawa highway pic with themselves or their vehicles. Just one thing to keep in mind: accelerate, but check your speedometer.
How to visit Mawa Ghat?
From any part of Dhaka, you can easily go to Mawa Ghat in your private or public vehicle. The best way to visit Mawa is to drive your car. The roads are wide in many lanes, allowing you to move to your heart's content. For public transport, you can go to the Jatrabari bus stand. From there, you can easily buy a ticket from ongoing buses, including Elish and others. The drive takes around one and a half hours to reach your destination and explore any tourist spot near mawa ghat.

Shat Gambuj Mosque
About 30 km away from Khulna City is the place Bagerhat. The place was inside the inhospitable Mangrove forest of the Sundarbans near the coast of Bay of Bengal. A General, later known to be a saint named Khan Jahan Ali came here from Delhi. He was the earliest torch-bearer of Islam in the south of Indian Subcontinent. He laid the nucleus of an affluent city at Bagerhat in the mid-fifteenth century, during the reign of Sultan Nasiruddin Mahmud Shah (14421459). He adorned his city with numerous mosques, tanks, roads and other public buildings, the spectacular ruins of which are focused around the most imposing and largest multi-domed mosque in Bangladesh, known as the Shat-Gambuj Masjid

The stately fabric of the monument stands on the eastern bank of a vast sweet-water tank, clustered around by the foliage of a low-lying countryside, characteristics of a sea-coast landscape. Nearby is the shrine of this saint flanked by a vast tank , also dug by him. A couple of crocodiles can be found in this tank which are believed to be cursed by the saint and have been living for several hundred years.

ষাট গম্বুজ মসজিদ
ষাট গম্বুজ মসজিদ বাংলাদেশের বাগেরহাট জেলার দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমে অবস্থিত একটি প্রাচীন মসজিদ।মসজিদটির গায়ে কোনো শিলালিপি নেই। তাই এটি কে নির্মাণ করেছিলেন বা কোন সময়ে নির্মাণ করা হয়েছিল সে সম্বন্ধে সঠিক কোনো তথ্য পাওয়া যায় না।ধারণা করা হয় এটি ১৫শ খ্রিস্টাব্দে নির্মাণ করেন। এ মসজিদটি বহু বছর ধরে ও বহু অর্থ খরচ করে নির্মাণ করা হয়েছিল। পাথরগুলো আনা হয়েছিল রাজমহল থেকে। এটি বাংলাদেশের তিনটি বিশ্ব ঐতিহ্যবাহী স্থানের একটির মধ্যে অবস্থিত; বাগেরহাট শহরটিকেই বিশ্ব ঐতিহ্যবাহী স্থানের মর্যাদা দেওয়া হয়েছে। ১৯৮৫ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে ইউনেস্কো এই সম্মান প্রদান করে।

মসজিদটি উত্তর-দক্ষিণে বাইরের দিকে প্রায় ১৬০ ফুট ও ভিতরের দিকে প্রায় ১৪৩ ফুট লম্বা এবং পূর্ব-পশ্চিমে বাইরের দিকে প্রায় ১০৪ ফুট ও ভিতরের দিকে প্রায় ৮৮ ফুট চওড়া। দেয়ালগুলো প্রায় ৮·৫ ফুট পুরু। ষাট গম্বুজ মসজিদে গম্বুজের সংখ্যা মোট ৮১ টি, সাত লাইনে ১১ টি করে ৭৭ টি এবং চার কোনায় ৪ টি মোট ৮১ টি। কালের বিবর্তনে লোকমুখে ৬০ গম্বুজ বলতে বলতে ষাট গম্বুজ নামকরণ হয়ে যায়, সেই থেকে ষাট গম্বুজ নামে পরিচিত।

ইতিহাস
সুলতান নসিরউদ্দিন মাহমুদ শাহের (১৪৩৫-৫৯) আমলে খান আল-আজম উলুগ খানজাহান সুন্দরবনের কোল ঘেঁষে খলিফাবাদ রাজ্য গড়ে তোলেন। খানজাহান বৈঠক করার জন্য একটি দরবার হল গড়ে তোলেন, যা পরে ষাট গম্বুজ মসজিদ হয়।[৩] এ মসজিদটি বহু বছর ধরে ও বহু অর্থ খরচ করে নির্মাণ করা হয়েছিল। পাথরগুলো আনা হয়েছিল রাজমহল থেকে। তুঘলকি ও জৌনপুরী নির্মাণশৈলী এতে সুস্পষ্ট।

বহির্ভাগ
মসজিদটির পূর্ব দেয়ালে ১১টি বিরাট আকারের খিলানযুক্ত দরজা আছে। মাঝের দরজাটি অন্যগুলোর চেয়ে বড়। উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ দেয়ালে আছে ৭টি করে দরজা। মসজিদের ৪ কোণে ৪টি মিনার আছে। এগুলোর নকশা গোলাকার এবং এরা উপরের দিকে সরু হয়ে গেছে। এদের কার্ণিশের কাছে বলয়াকার ব্যান্ড ও চূঁড়ায় গোলাকার গম্বুজ আছে। মিনারগুলোর উচ্চতা, ছাদের কার্নিশের চেয়ে বেশি। সামনের দুটি মিনারে প্যাঁচানো সিঁড়ি আছে এবং এখান থেকে আজান দেবার ব্যবস্থা ছিল। এদের একটির নাম রওশন কোঠা, অপরটির নাম আন্ধার কোঠা। মসজিদের ভেতরে ৬০টি স্তম্ভ বা পিলার আছে। এগুলো উত্তর থেকে দক্ষিণে ৬ সারিতে অবস্থিত এবং প্রত্যেক সারিতে ১০টি করে স্তম্ভ আছে। প্রতিটি স্তম্ভই পাথর কেটে বানানো, শুধু ৫টি স্তম্ভ বাইরে থেকে ইট দিয়ে ঢেকে দেওয়া হয়েছে। এই ৬০টি স্তম্ভ ও চারপাশের দেয়ালের ওপর তৈরি করা হয়েছে গম্বুজ। মসজিদটির নাম ষাট গম্বুজ (৬০ গম্বুজ) মসজিদ হলেও এখানে গম্বুজ মোটেও ৬০টি নয়,বরং গম্বুজ সংখ্যা ৮১টি। ৭৭টি গম্বুজের মধ্যে ৭০ টির উপরিভাগ গোলাকার এবং পূর্ব দেয়ালের মাঝের দরজা ও পশ্চিম দেয়ালের মাঝের মিহরাবের মধ্যবর্তী সারিতে যে সাতটি গম্বুজ সেগুলো দেখতে অনেকটা বাংলাদেশের চৌচালা ঘরের চালের মতো। মিনারে গম্বুজের সংখ্যা ৪ টি-এ হিসেবে গম্বুজের সংখ্যা দাঁড়ায় মোট ৮১ তে।[৫] তবুও এর নাম হয়েছে ষাটগম্বুজ। ঐতিহাসিকরা মনে করেন, সাতটি সারিবদ্ধ গম্বুজ সারি আছে বলে এ মসজিদের সাত গম্বুজ এবং তা থেকে ষাটগম্বুজ নাম হয়েছে। আবার অনেক ঐতিহাসিক মনে করেন, গম্বুজগুলো ৬০ টি প্রস্তরনির্মিত স্তম্ভের ওপর অবস্থিত বলেই নাম ষাটগম্বুজ হয়েছে।

অভ্যন্তরভাগ
মসজিদের ভেতরে পশ্চিম দেয়ালে ১০টি মিহরাব আছে। মাঝের মিহরাবটি আকারে বড় এবং কারুকার্যমন্ডিত। এ মিহরাবের দক্ষিণে ৫টি ও উত্তরে ৪টি মিহরাব আছে। শুধু মাঝের মিহরাবের ঠিক পরের জায়গাটিতে উত্তর পাশে যেখানে ১টি মিহরাব থাকার কথা সেখানে আছে ১টি ছোট দরজা। কারো কারো মতে, খান-ই-জাহান এই মসজিদটিকে নামাজের কাজ ছাড়াও দরবার ঘর হিসেবে ব্যবহার করতেন, আর এই দরজাটি ছিল দরবার ঘরের প্রবেশ পথ। আবার কেউ কেউ বলেন, মসজিদটি মাদরাসা হিসেবেও ব্যবহৃত হত।ইমাম সাহেবের বসার জায়গা হিসেবে রয়েছে মিম্বার।

The Sundarbans is a cluster of low-lying islands in the Bay of Bengal, spread across India and Bangladesh, famous for its unique mangrove forests. This active delta region is among the largest in the world, measuring about 40,000 sq km.
No other tidal forests can match it in terms of diversity. Bonbibi and Dakshin Rai: Among the most famous legends of the Sundarbans is the tale of Bonbibi, the forest goddess, and her brother Dakshin Rai, the demon king. The story revolves around the balance between the chaos of nature and the protective power of the divine.
In conclusion, the Sundarban Delta is a unique natural wonder that deserves protection and conservation. Its mangrove forests, wildlife, and local communities are facing challenges, and concerted efforts are needed to ensure their sustainability.
The Sundarbans is of universal importance for globally endangered species including the Royal Bengal Tiger, Ganges and Irawadi dolphins, estuarine crocodiles and the critically endangered endemic river terrapin (Batagur baska). It is the only mangrove habitat in the world for Panthera tigris tigris species.
Named after the dominant mangrove tree species, Heritiera fomes, known as sundri in Bengali, Sundarbans itself literally means 'beautiful forest' in Bengali. The ecosystem is now one of the World's Natural Wonders, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The distance between Dhaka and Sundarban is 303 km. The road distance is 380.4 km.

Jaflong, located between tea gardens and hills, is the tourist hotspot of Sylhet, a hill station, positioned on the border between Bangladesh and Meghalaya, the north-eastern state of India. Also home to the Khasi tribe, Jaflong is famed for its lush, tropical setting and the areas of natural beauty surrounding it.
These areas include the Piyain River, which flows between Bangladesh and India and is renowned for its crystal clear water that allows visitors to vividly see the array of underwater stones. In Jaflong, visitors can also take in the cascading waterfalls and rich greenery of the mountains of Meghalaya, and visit the historic Dawki Bridge, a suspension bridge built by the British in 1932 and a road border crossing between Bangladesh and India.
For maximum visual impact, Jaflong’s “Zero Point” is the place to be. Along with more spectacular waterfalls is one of Jaflong’s famed attractions: its vast range of underwater stones that are of different shapes and colours. Borne from the mountains of India by the powerful flow of the endless cascades, the stones add rich texture to the tranquil beauty of the Zero Point. The shimmering transparency of the water also attracts tourists to bathe, swim and relax in the water and surrounding sand fields.
The waterfall Songram Punji or Mayabi Jhorna, is only a 10 to 15 minute walk from Zero Point, and is a popular hotspot for tourists to frolic in. Another waterfall, Khasia Village, is on the other side of the Piyain River and can be accessed by boat.

Best time to visit Jaflong
Because of the easier access, most tourists visit Jaflong in winter. While the Zero Point can be reached during winter, and its beauty enjoyed, the waterfalls are unlikely to be at full strength due to a lack of rainwater.
During the monsoon season, the heavy rains transform the waterfalls into a spectacular vision, with dramatic cascades flowing from the mountains, lush greenness. However, “Zero Point” goes underwater during rainy session due to flood.

Ratargul Swamp Forest (Bengali: রাতারগুল জলাবন) is a freshwater swamp forest located in Gowain River, Fatehpur Union, Gowainghat, Sylhet, Bangladesh. Ratargul was once thought to be the only swamp forest in Bangladesh, and one of the few freshwater swamp forests in the world. Later, more swamp forests namely Jugirkandi Mayabon, Bujir Bon and Lokkhi Baor swamp forest were discovered in Bangladesh.
Its area is 3,325.61 acres (1,345.83 ha) including 504 acres (204 ha) declared as the animal sanctuary in 2015. It is known as the Sundarbans of Sylhet. This is second largest swamp forest in Bangladesh, located 26 kilometres (16 mi) from Sylhet.
The evergreen forest is situated by the river Goain and linked with the channel Chengir Khal. Most of the trees growing here are the Dalbergia reniformis (করচ গাছ Koroch tree). The forest is submerged under 20–30 ft (6.1–9.1 m) water in the rainy season. For the rest of the year, the water level is about 10 ft (3.0 m) deep.
Ratargul is about 26 kilometres from Sylhet. There is a 3,325 acres wetland in Sylhet range-2 under the forest department and in that wetland Ratargul swamp forest is about 504 acres[11] It is located in Gowainghat. After reaching Gowainghat, tourists reserve local engine boat namely "traller" to reach forest.[12] There are two haors, Shimul Bil haor and Neoa Bil Haor, in the south part of the forest.[13
73 species of plants could be found in the forest till now. 80 percent of the forest area is covered with umbrella of the trees.
Two layers of plants can be seen in the swamp forest. The upper layer consists of trees and the lower one consists of intense Schumannianthus dichotomus. The forest canopy reaches up to 15 m (49 ft) tall.[citation needed]
Though the forest is natural, the Forestry Department of Bangladesh has planted some watery plants like Calamus tenuis, Neolamarckia cadamba, Barringtonia acutangula. Banyan Tree is very common in the forest. Besides that, Barringtonia acutangula, Dalbergia reniformis, Crateva religiosa or Hygrophila (plant), Alstonia scholaris can also be seen.[16]
Snakes and worm snakes can widely be seen in this water-drowned forest. Mongoose can be seen in dry season. Monkeys and water monitors also reside here. herons, egrets, kingfishers, parrot, bulbuls, swans, doves, water fowl, Eagles and kites are some of the birds of the swamp forest. Cotton pygmy goose and other migratory birds and vultures visit the forest in winter. The local names of fish present here are Batasio, Rita, Ompok, Rohu etc

Sylhet (Bengali: সিলেট; is a metropolitan city located in the northeastern region of Bangladesh. It is the administrative center of Sylhet Division and is situated on the banks of the Surma River. Sylhet is the fifth-largest city in Bangladesh, with a population of around 700,000 people.
Sylhet is known for its tea plantations and natural beauty.[4] The city has a history dating back to the 14th century and has been ruled by various dynasties and empires, including the Mughals, British, and the Nawabs of Bengal. The city is also home to several important landmarks, such as the Shah Jalal Dargah, which is one of the holiest sites in Bangladesh and attracts thousands of pilgrims every year.[5]
Sylhet is one of the most economically important cities in Bangladesh after Dhaka and Chittagong.[6] Sylhet is a major commercial and financial center, and it is home to several multinational companies and industries, including the tea industry, which generates a significant amount of revenue for the city. The city has a diverse population, with Bengalis, Tripuris, and other ethnic groups living together. The official language of Sylhet is Bengali, while Sylheti is the most spoken. English is widely spoken and understood because people from Sylhet form a significant portion of the Bangladeshi diaspora, particularly in the United Kingdom and the United States. According to The Daily Star, about 85% of Bangladeshi population in the UK comes from the Sylhet district.[7] Sylhet has diverse transport infrastructure, with a modern airport, railway station, and bus terminals that connect it to other parts of the country.[8] The city also has several educational institutions, including Sylhet Agricultural University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, and Sylhet Cadet College.
