Hey besties! I hope everyone is doing good!! I just wanted to open up about why my content has changed. First, I want to say how grateful I am for my platform and I love making videos to entertain you all!! I wouldn’t be where I am today without your love and support. When I started posting videos, it was just for fun and I didn’t really think anything would happen from it. I never thought any of this would come from posting funny videos but I’m glad it did. Somewhere down the line, I feel like my page and the style of content I posted with the Tiana doll got lost in translation. People thought I made my page strictly for Tiana content and that’s it. To the point where I started to get disrespected as a human being. No one cared about Drea the person, they just wanted content about the doll. I felt as if I couldn’t post a funny video by myself without getting spammed comments saying “where’s Tiana?” “Girl we don’t want you, we want Tiana” “why is her page all about herself”, that’s a fraction of comments I would receive and I don’t feel comfortable repeating what else was said on the regular. As you can imagine, that can be very discouraging as a creator. It affected my mental health to the point where it’s very hard for me to be consistent with posting content at the moment because that’s all I think about when I make new videos. I automatically think, “my audience is going to hate this so why am I even wasting my time”. I was under the impression that I built a community of people who understood my humor. I thought everyone understood that “Tiana” is just a segment on my page. I have deleted so many videos that I posted by myself because the comments were so bad. No one ever said anything about what the actual video was about. I would get 50+ comments back to back of people disrespecting me. So I stopped posting with Tiana and took a chance on myself. I’m so happy that I did! It definitely helped me build my confidence to a point where I didn’t even think this was possible. I’m grateful for the ones who stuck by my side throughout this journey. I never truly wanted to stop posting videos with Tiana, but I felt as if I had to in order to take control of my content again. I say all of this to say, I know a lot of you all miss those videos and I miss making them, truly! Moving forward, I will only post videos with Tiana on YouTube as long form content. The only thing I ask is, please do not comment on videos asking for the Tiana doll if she’s not in them. You will get blocked, period. Please understand that I’m trying to evolve as a creator and with that comes trying new styles of content. I’m not trying to be rude or anything but in order for this to work I have to set boundaries. I really hope you all understand and try to be patient with me. All I want is for everyone to be happy. Love you guys! 🩷
