Unique and impressive, monolith temple of Chandwasa, 27.4159° N, 76.1587° E, early temple forms into western India beyond major centers of Shaivism, hewn in the sandstone outcrop and approached by a modest mukha‑mandapa, is a magnificent linga. No royal inscriptions were recovered from the Dhamnar shrine; the visible graffiti and later donor marks indicate chiefly local elite and community patronage rather than imperial sponsorship.
