Soooo much is happening in the WW community! I want it too be clear I support and love everyone no matter their skin colour, body shape, body size, religion, disability, male or female, sexual orientation ..! I have been thinking really hard and deep about things.. I have gone ahead and changed my Instagram username to @ashleyhealthfitness .. now it will match my WW connect name as well which makes me happy.

Also, I wish for it to be known I am blessed to be Romanian & Sri Lankan. I spent many of my younger years hiding my Sri Lankan side .. why? .. well yes I have heard it my friends the “oh your brown?” The change in tone ..the judgment... I have heard scary stories of racism that my father went through as a child growing up as a Sri Lankan immigrant in England as well.. fast forward to my love life I met my husband who is Afghani .. I bet you can imagine how crossing the border goes. We crossed once with some friends .. and it was an embarrassing moment for him when all of us where not questioned but, he was. Why? Because of his place of birth. He goes to work and continues to deal with “terrorist” talk on the daily and it breaks my heart. I just want to share our story in light of all that is going on in the community. 🤍

I stand in unity with the beautiful BLM & BIPOC ✊🏿 ✊🏾 ✊🏽 communities and hold their hands in support. I will never feel your pain however, I am here to help spread the word that it is NOT OKAY.
