Welcome to Psalm 33.
The Bible was written in a world very different from our own. Its stories, festivals, symbols, and teachings emerged from the history and faith of ancient Israel. When that original context is forgotten, familiar passages can lose much of their meaning.
This channel explores the historical, Jewish, and cultural background of Scripture—from the Torah and the prophets to the life and teachings of Jesus. Each video examines overlooked details, misunderstood teachings, biblical festivals, and surprising connections that can transform the way you read the Bible.
The goal is not simply to collect interesting facts, but to understand Scripture more deeply, question familiar assumptions, and rediscover the foundations of Christian faith.

When Jesus said, “I never knew you” in Matthew 7:23, he was not speaking about lacking information.
In biblical language, “knowing” someone can describe recognition and relationship. Jesus’ warning is directed at people who invoke his name and even perform impressive works—while continuing to practice lawlessness.
Religious activity is not the same as obedience.

Psalm 33
A New Chapter Begins
The Prophet 33 is now Psalm 33.
This new name is inspired by Psalm 33:4:
“For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.”
The name and visual identity have changed, but the heart of the channel has not. The Jewish world of Jesus, the Hebrew Scriptures, and the original context of the Christian faith will remain an essential part of everything published here. The weekly Torah portion readings for channel members will also continue.
At the same time, Psalm 33 will begin exploring a wider range of questions about Jesus, salvation, sin, faith, judgment, the Holy Spirit, and difficult passages that many Christians struggle to understand.
The new direction can be summarized in one sentence:
Christian Faith in Its Original Context.
This is not a rejection of the journey so far. It is the next step—a renewed commitment to examine Scripture carefully, ask difficult questions, and return the Bible to the world in which it was written.

A quick update for all of you who have been reading the weekly Torah Portions with me.
First, I apologize for falling a little behind over the past few weeks. I was away on vacation and took some much-needed time to rest and recharge.
I'm back now, and I've just uploaded the three Torah Portions we missed:

So we're officially caught up again!
