I'm a lifelong crafter who discovered junk journaling in 2020. The idea of making something useful out of nothing has helped tie together so many parts of my personality - writing, papercrafting, sewing, fascination with vintage things, and seeing beauty in unexpected places.

I don't typically talk current events on my channel, but recent heartbreaking developments in Minnesota continue to weigh very heavily on us. Last night I read about the "Melt the ICE" hat created by the Needle and Skein shop just outside Minneapolis. The design is an homage to Norwegians in the 1940s who wore it as a sign of Nazi resistance. Pattern sales support Minnesota-based immigrant causes. I purchased a downloadable copy immediately and just finished my first hat. Starting one for Dan next. Our hearts are with you, Minnesota. May all of us be kind, be strong, be truthful.

Wishing a happy, happy holiday to this wonderful crafting community! I so appreciate your support and friendship. Here's a pic of Dan and me with our favorite little guy doing his favorite activity. Merry Christmas!

Several folks asked about my most recent craft fair - here's a look at my table when it was almost ready. I really enjoyed using the foldable shelf display that I recently bought from another crafter. Shoppers seemed to appreciate seeing journals at eye level as they passed by. This event was in the community room of a local church, and it was a fun and lively afternoon! Really looking forward to setting some goals for my craft fair participation next year.

OOPS! I posted the wrong video early this morning - I prematurely announced the Letter of the Week Challenge, but meant to post a video on texture. I'm swapping the videos now and will re-post. Thanks so much for your patience - I will get the Letter of the Week reposted at its proper time! The texture video will be up shortly!

Hi, everyone! So many new viewers have joined us here recently that I thought I'd plan a question-and-answer video. Are you curious about anything here?

Feel free to ask any question at all - either crafty or non-crafty - and I'll do my best to answer. I'll reserve the right to decline highly personal inquiries, of course, but almost anything else is fair game.

‪@CeriGriffiths‬ does this occasionally, and I thought you might enjoy the opportunity to chat here as well.

Pop your questions below and I'll add them to my list! See you soon, and Happy New Year!

Hey, friends - are you generating a lot of food packaging waste this week? Me, too! How's about we save some of the papery stuff from our recycling bins and make it into some junk journal goodness next week?

I'm not certain what we will do together, but I know it'll be something useful, creative, and fun.

In the meantime - Happy U.S. Thanksgiving, save those boxes and labels, and we'll see you very soon!

OK, everyone - you inspired me to forge right ahead into the holiday crafting season! My new bonus video series begins on Saturday, Sept. 7, and you can expect a new holiday-related video every Saturday until Christmas. My focus will be on quick, easy, practical projects with a junk journal vibe - lots of upcycling, use-what-you-have crafting, and fun stuff for when you're long on holiday spirit but short on time. I'll still be posting my regular stuff on Tuesdays and Fridays, too. And I'm creating a holiday playlist, so if you just can't bear the thought of pinecones and holly berries in September, it'll be easy for you to go back and catch up when the mood strikes you later.

I hope you'll also let me know if there are any specific ideas or projects you'd like to see in this special series.

Thanks for the feedback, and I'll see you soon!

OK, so I don't want to rush the season - but we crafters always think ahead! I'm starting to make some stuff for a holiday craft fair on Nov. 9 - is it too early for me to share ideas with you? Let me know if you're game to see a holiday project or two, even if we're still wearing shorts and sandals!
