Im outside today working on the old fiberglass boat, enjoying a bit of productivity and just watched a guy catch an impressively large bass off my dock. It almost took the fisherman into the water! It’s fishin season, y’all! I’d say that’s a good sign for my summer ;)
Check out @beardedwhiskey2165 a band I was in for some years. We made an album and went on tour across the north east US with some great friends. This is probably a side of me not many of you have seen! I’m very proud of the music we made together, and I’m hoping our paths will cross again real soon!
@reavisstockard2994 everything looks so clean in here! I’m gonna check all this with a meter but let’s start keeping an eye out for matching Chrysler bits if any of this looks like stuff you’ve got. I’ve read these ignitions can die out of the blue. I just hope it’s not the black box! I might be able to take the stuff to a Napa today to see if they can cross check some old books.
Check out our prototype button boxes we built yesterday for Elite: Dangerous. We have been playing the space sim as a three member crew and I can’t recommend this kind of gameplay enough. We finally found a way for all of us to play video games together without having to buy separate licenses or build three gaming computers.
We’ve broken the controls out into three areas: Pilot/Helm Comms/Navigation Engineer/Tactical
Each member has unique controls specific to their role and shares “WASD” and a few other generic controls.
These each use a pi pico to emulate keyboard strokes. We used Cherry MX style switches and key caps from a spare TH-80 I had laying around.
@IowaBudgetRCBashers been holding back a bit for this one but I haven’t been able to get in the studio for a few days so here she is! I thought you would appreciate this :) this is a late 90’s early 2000’s squire that @reavisstockard2994 bought me when I was a kid. While roughing around a friend and I broke the original neck. My granddad put a 65’ American made fender neck on it, upgraded the internals with a super cool tone knob design, and painted it purple. The first time knob is a proper ‘tone’ control, while the second tone knobs brings in the pickups that are not in the selected array, allowing for endless sounds I still haven’t nailed down in the 15 years I’ve had this beast. Her name is Karylshea and she’s one of a kind.
Anyone who can give any information on vintage Chrysler outboard engines please comment or share to someone who can! I’m looking for ignition (points condenser, coil, etc) for a late 60s 50hp sea king engine made by Chrysler. I know there are parts compatibility but I cant seem to put my finger on these. When I do, I’ll be sure to post the compatibility on my website for all future information seekers! #chrysler#vintage
I've been having a lot of fun learning about this whole video creation thing! My script and project board for the Pi Pico Tower Crane are coming along very well. I should be able to film my first overview on that in the next few days. Here's what happens when I film a a practice-run (about a totally different project) on a whim!

@IowaBudgetRCBashers so far so good! Gotta go down a little more to fix that glue line, but I’m thrilled with the progress.
