3) In 2016 the number of inhabitants of Daugavpils decreased by 881 people. The reason for this is negative demography, and the outflow of the population to other cities and countries.
4) According to statistics, 50.5% of Russians, 18.5% of Latvians, 14% of Poles, 7.3% of Belarusians, 2% of Ukrainians and 7.7% of representatives of other nationalities live in Daugavpils.
