Quick update: I'm working on a few videos right now. Finals have slowed some things down, but new vid early next week. These boys take a lot more work than any of my previous content, but they're turning out pretty awesome. Ya'll are gonna like them! Aiming to release one per week! 💯
A lot of people seem to be confused as to why this game got nominated for GOTY...
It genuinely might be one of the best rougelikes I've ever played. It deserves the GOTY nomination. Maybe I'll make a short about it, because this game is fucking awesome.
Helldivers 2 DSS is finished and my honest opinion is "meh." It's a cool feature but doesn't change much in terms of gameplay, progression, or really anything at all. Nearly two months of build-up and major orders for this.
Players want something spicy. New missions. New environments. New gamemodes. Anything that flips the gameplay on its head. Personally, I'm tired of playing the same thing for 10 months straight and a repackage of stuff we already have with the DSS isn't going to make me want to come back.
PvE games only survive longterm because they get constant updates/additions to the gameplay OR they give players something to work toward so they'll keep playing despite repetitiveness.
It's nice to see there's new content, but I'll end by saying this: the game is 10 months old and the biggest content update we've gotten is the DSS. Is that enough? 🤔
