I have always had a deep respect for Her Majesty. I had never met her, yet, she has been there throughout my life. Without ever realizing it, in some way, she touched my very existence by her example. I never felt more proud, than in her later years, when it would have been easier for her to abdicate in favor of Charles, but she stood strong. True to the vow she made all those years ago. I'm grateful she saw her Jubilee, and the outpouring of love and respect from not just the people of the UK, and Commonwealth, but of the whole world. It saddens me that her last years were spoiled by the activities of some, especially with what She has had to endure this last year regarding certain members of her family. Her Majesty losing her beloved Philip must have been unbearable. Like many others, my heart is heavy today, and I find myself prone to moments of complete sadness, and my eyes fill with tears. Such was the effect this beautiful soul had on my life. Charles has a difficult time ahead of him, and I pray that he and the rest of the Queen's family, find peace and strength during the coming weeks. He has impossible shoes to fill. I pray he has the strength of spirit to do what must be done. The Monarchy will never be the same, but it will endure. Our Queen is one of the greatest monarchs of British Royal history, if not the greatest. Not only for the longest reign, but for the love she had for her people, and the remarkable achievements she has accomplished. God Bless you Ma’am. You will sorely be missed, and thank you.
