Founded in 2000 by a like-minded group of music and sound experimentalists, Outsound Presents is dedicated to supporting the presentation of original works of experimental music and sound art, and to raising public awareness of this new music as an alternative to both traditional and market-driven music. The mission of Outsound Presents is to encourage experimental musical composition, improvisational performance, and the invention and use of new musical instruments. Genres include avant-garde jazz, found sound, noise art, musique concrète, minimalism, and the unnamable.
